Wow!

The best restaurant experience in Madeira. The staff were attentive and needed no prompting, thereby providing a 5 star treat. The food courses and recommended wine was a real treat and cooked and presented to perfection. We can't wait until our next visit to Madeira.

In our opinion, this is one of the best restuarants we have eaten in anywhere, including Michelin starred restuarants. Particularly good is the special menu, including wine, in the evening. This is excellent value for money and is quite delicious. Wine is expertly paired with each course and includes recommendations that we wouldn't have considered normally, but they go so... More

The food, the staff, everything about this restaurant was top notch! The food was fabulous and the wine was a great pair! The ambiance was so nice for dinner conversation and we loved how tucked away this gem was! Will come back again!

I'm 40 and have lived outside the UK more than in it as an adult, kinda well travelled. The food, chefs taster, was amazing, the wine recommended was an alexia. The white wine was the best I've tasted from Portugal, most whites are light or vinegar, 2011 Chardonnay blend, which had depth character and full bodied. The red was a... More

Lovely atmosphere, the service was relaxed and the food was beautifully presented. The set menu was very good value and all the we had dishes were excellent, in particular the fish soup which was superb! The tables inside appear to be less crowded and have the benefit of being non smoking.

Went back as we found it to be the best we'd been to and we weren't let down.the three course meal with wine @ 39 Euro is terrific value and the quality hard to beat. Not easy to find down and alley but the taxi drivers know it well...oh,better to book as this place is popular!!!

Tucked away in Fuchal, this is a great restaurant at the top end of fine dining. The menu paired with wine was good value and the food was beautifully presented. The environment was delightful - had been converted from an old salt warehouse. Ask for a table indoors if you are a non-smoker as smoking is permitted on the covered... More

Fabulous atmosphere in old salt warehouse. Leisurely paced, with very attentive staff. We found meal options (eg al la carte v set menu) confusing at start as there's only one menu and if you chose to have their recommended wines with each course (well worth doing as you get a third of a bottle with each course!) this starts with...
