Tourist trap... Venetian Prices.

I really do object to spending four times the normal (local) price for a coffee and then being told if I was Portuguese I would get it cheaper.. Do I need to say more.. It's in a good location so like me you may get caught buty the convenience of if but if you are fortunate enough read this ...... read more

Tourist trap and I walked right into it. Horrible food. Horrible service. Walk off the main drag and find yourself somewhere with better food for less money. The food is made with the cheapest ingredients available. What sounds delicious on the menu simply tastes bland. Ignored by servers repeatedly.

First of all, we were looking at the menu outside then decided to get in but nobody said even hello to us... The food was disgusting and we paid way too much for the very bad quality of it... We paid extra taxes and it was already overpriced. The service was bad and waitresses were so rude, they insulted us... More

The food is overpriced and mediocre and they hit you with many extra charges. Service slow. After eating I felt as if I'd been robbed.

Although this restaurants sits in the very active square opposite the National Palace, it feeds on the tourists. It is overpriced and just OK. Watch for the initial offerings of olives, chesse and even the bread they place on the table. It all shows up on your bill!! Find a better spot to dine.

Enjoy sitting in this place just to see the palace - recommend you order no more than a coffee. Overpriced,, dismal food.

Straight from the micro wave, impossible to eat so disgusting! And fairly pricey on top. Typical tourist trap, avoid at all costs!

During our visit to Sintra, we stopped at Hockey Caffee for a drink on the sunny terrace. The Hockey Caffee has a nice ambiance, a pleasant terrace with a good view and clean toilets, but the prices of the drinks are really outrageous (a cappucino e.g. costs 4 EUR and the bill told us: "Tips not included"). The waiters were... More

For a coffee (or a beer) and a snack, this coffe shop is totally OK. It is situated in the middle of the tourist trap, just across the National Palace. It has a roomy outdoor terrace, so you can watch other tourists walking by. Service is good, prices are high (to be expected) but all in all - OK
