This gem was recommended by the ticket taker at the palace and we loved it. Short wait to get in at lunch on Saturday and worth it. We shared the pork ànd clams with potatoes and loved it. Great inexpensive wine and nice desserts. Nice welcome, good service, no rush despite the crowd of people... read more

This place serves typical Portuguese cuisine, a short walk around the road leading away from the main touristy part of Sintra. It's large inside (holds 100) and has been on the scene since 1970 and is obviously popular with locals; quite close to the town hall. The soft, delicious baguette-style bread was a nice switch from the norm. We had... More

Best food we've had in Portugal, no frills or airs (it looks almost like a pub, there were big screens with soccer on tv) but just fantastic food in generous portions, and we ordered "half" portions for everyone! We got the grilled cod, shrimp (amazing), fried boneless fish, and soup with monkfish and shrimp. But they brought great bread with... More

I recommend this restaurant for typical Portuguese food with good quality and low prices. The staff is very wellcoming and friendly and the service is very efficient. I always dine there when I'm in Sintra.

Walked by this restaurant when we made our way from the train station to our B&B. It was around 10pm, so we weren't so sure if we were even going to find food in this small, quiet town. Our host recommended two restaurants, one of which was Apeaderio. He described this place as where the locals go to eat, which... More

The restaurant was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The soup of the day was delicious. We both had the grilled salmon and it was excellent. The service was efficient and the staff was very friendly. A final treat was a complimentary glass of port wine. It was the perfect end to a delightful dining experience in Sintra.... More

To taste typical portuguese food in Sintra this is the place I recommend to have one of the best experiences in your Hollidays. Friendly people, tasty food, great desserts and the most famous Sintra pastries. Fantastic place with good prices.

Don't be deceived by the small entrance. This establishment stands out from the standard tourist options. The food was very good as well as the service. Our waiter was very kind and friendly to our party of 6. I forgot his name otherwise I would compliment him here. We recommend this restaurant!

My mother I am went to Apeadeiro on recommendation from our hotel and it was completely worth it. I got a whole fish which was delicious and my mother got a phenomenal garlic/bread soup. The host was friendly and tried to speak English to us as much as he could. Great seafood in Sintra.
