Bengal tandoori.

It's not often you come across an India restaurant AND pizza place. However the food was good ( we had Indian food) served with a smile and very tasty. I can't vouch for the pizzas. A meal for 3 including wine came to 55 euros so excellent value. Highly recommend.

we had an amazing experience in this restaurant that started from knowing our super nice and polite waiter name Jander that was very nice, polite and friendly. after we ate our food, the taste was amazing and Jander even gave us extra rice on the house without we even asked. at the end of our dinner we didn't ask for... Located on a tiny cobblestone lane close to the National Palace, Bengal Tandoori surprisingly serves Indian and Italian food. This cozy little restaurant is well worth seeking out. We found their mushroom pizza to be one of the best we've ever had. Adopt the spirit of an ancient Portuguese explorer and discover this treasure for yourself.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food. Bear in mind we were also very hungry at that time. The food tasted fresh. The staff was friendly. The restaurant is under renovation so the ambience was not very pleasing. But still recommended.

Considering this is the middle of a tourist centre in the middle of Portugal we were quite surprised to find this hidden gem in Sintra. We stayed in Sintra for 4 nights and visited this place twice. On both occasions the food was excellent given the location. We ate on the outside terrace which was very pleasant with 2 huge... More

The restaurant is set back from the hustle and bustle of the main square but still within 50m of it. We had the most amazing curries here tonight in a lovely outdoor courtyard setting. We paired it with an affordable bottle of Monsaraz. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places within the town and great value for money.... More

On a quiet side street with a patio area. Serves Indian dishes and some pastas as well. No authentic Indian but if you need a break from the Portuguese food, it was not bad. Full trip report and photos if you need on chiliandtart.tumblr.com.

I'm staying in Sintra for five days. After doing a survey of restaurants nearby, I came across very little in the way of choice. Almost every restaurant is a tourist place with inflated prices, and with what looks like sub-par food. When I found Bengal Tandoori, I was thrilled. Their location is central, but on a non-touristed street, their prices... More

We stumbled into this place by accident. It was a bit hidden off the main track, but well worth the visit. We were tired of the traditional Portugese food and wanted to try something different. The tandoori shrimp was perfectly good with a delicious pungent sauce and the baingan bharta was to die for. They have a quiet little patio... More
