Unfortunately I wasn't thrilled with this place. We had planned on going somewhere else but literally everywhere else was closed. Granted we were visiting Sintra during the off-season in November. All I can really tell you about regional de Sintra is to look else where. The two staff members were nice but the service wasn't outstanding, the food was average... More

This has to be the best restaurant in Sintra, the food is fantastic and the service especially from the head waiter Paulo is first class. Its difficult to find as its not in the main square but is much more authentic than the tourist restaurants in the town . The prawns in Garlic starter is amazing as are most of... More

We ordered the fried chicken and grilled Salmon along with the red wine recommended by the host. Including starters, the bill was 33 euros for two people. An excellent value.

We had dinner here as we did not find another restaurant with a free table nearby. However, we were happy with the choice as although the setting is not that great, the food is really good and the waiter who served us was also quite friendly. We had the monkfish skewers and the steak Portuguese style and we enjoyed the... More

And it didn't disappoint, we ate here 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Our party of four over 2 nights sampled; monkfish skewers, the grilled pork, regional style pork, steak and prawns, and the chateaubriand. The beef in particular was beautiful. It is a busy wee place we got there early and were glad, as people who arrived later... More

Deceiving from the outside, but better inside. The Portugese coriander soup very poor, fish dinner good. portions were generous, maybe too much.

This is an old world restaurant which is aimed at the tourist market. The food was well presented, good quality and was served by a friendly waiter. The restaurant was busy but thankfully we got in without a reservation. One to visit if in town but i would probably not head straight back if i was visiting again as it... More

The food was good and affordable, but it felt like there was a bit of price gouging on the bread and butter that is automatically delivered and relatively expensive. The bacaulau I had was tasty and my partner enjoyed her meal also (cant remember what it was now). The service was slow as there was only one server for a... More

My wife and I dined here a couple of times when visiting Sintra and received a warm welcome on all occasions. We tried a couple of different meat and fish dishes, all of which we're excellent. You won't be disappointed if you want a nice meal in a traditional Portuguese restaurant which is great value.

The accomodation looks a bit out of date but good food, very friendly service. Fair prices. Close to the train station and city center.
