My vegetarian wife hated it, I loved it. 3/4 at the table ultimately were happy. We happened to meet some fellow guests from our B&B and joined them. They loved their fish - "Its just fish!" and the sirloin steak was the best I think I've ever had. Just meat - perfectly cooked. The fries, salad and veggie was also... More

You can have regional food which are very tasty. Most of the menu is local food but there are options. I recommande soup which is made of tomatoes, peas and mushroom. We had one rice pudding and one almond tart as dessert and they were almost perfect. I think "Restaurante Regional de Sintra" is a very good place to eat... More

My husband and I ate here our first night in Portugal, and it was probably our best meal on the whole trip. I got a fabulous fish dish and my husband got a perfectly cooked steak. Great dessert, great wine...we can't say enough about it!

This is a fine restaurant, nothing fancy -but good food for a reasonable price. It's brought at a high tempo. We had codfish which was well made witg a lot of vegetable. Indeed no windows to be seen and don't imagine a romantic restaurant, but if you want honest food for a reasonable price, it's here you should come.

For a Portuguese food experience with friendly service this was a good place to go. Good house wine and "bacalhau" dinner.

Top level service! with a classic decoration, this restaurant offers some ofthe best dishes I've ever had. Recommend the regional shrimp appetizer and the meat is really delicious and tender! I'm looking forward to my return here.

This wasn't as quaint as some of the places we tried, but the food was good along with the price. Very regional...and you got to see the kitchen in action. It was a very quiet night in Sintra.

We always tend to listen to Rick Steves when we travel so when he recommended this restaurant we decided to try it for dinner. Well, we were not disappointed. We started with an onion soup that was to die for. I don't think I have had a better soup. Wanted to go back the next night for another bowl. Still... More

This was our 'big fancy dinner' in our trip to Sintra. It's crazy that it cost less than a moderately priced dinner back home. I had the roast lamb, yum. Hubby had the fish stew w/ bread, a local specialty, also yum. The chefs are definitely Portuguese--we could watch them hustling about in the kitchen. The waiter was very nice... More

This little place, slightly hidden by the Mayor's house was an absolute gem. The food was fantastic ( try the shell fish stew - delicious!!). And very reasonable. Service very friendly and attentive. Would higly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sintra. In 3 days, we ate there 3 times.
