Very traditional Portuguese food...nothing fancy but well worth the trip. The service was very good and the food was excellent and in expensive.

The service is very good and friendly. You will get all necessary recommendations and explanation about the food served. As we were a bit cold after Cabo da Roca we ordered tea, that costed us 5.60 euros for 2 people!!!! After 1 starter and main dish for 2 persons (arroz with seafood, it's a traditional Portuguese dish, served for 2)... More

Well, they try, a bit. But Sintra at lunchtime is heaving with tourists so they don't really try very much! Cod fritters were very disappointing and shrimp in aioli ditto. Nice glass of Alentejo wine though and a kind waiter who carefully found somewhere for us to sit.

This was recommended by our B & B host. It's in a pleasant alley off the main street so there was no traffic noise. Food was very good - I had the vegetarian option and it was excellent. I thought the prices were good too. The only problem from our perspective was the guitarist who was serenading the outside tables.... More

Not to turistic, nice location, live music and good food. And it's great for late dinners when almost everything else is closed or closing and they only want you to hurry. Good food but not cheap.

We stopped for tapas and drinks after a day visit to Sintra and we were pleasantly surprised. The place was not busy so we had attentive and fast service. The food was good but not extraordinary. The bread and olives were fantastic. It is located in a charming alley in a touristy part of town so you expect to pay... More

Good food at a fair price. I ordered the sausage and long beans, olives and a Portuguese steak. The food was very tasty and the portion are generous. The bread is to die for. It is tucked away in an alley just east of the palace. It took me a while to find it, but it was worth the effort.... More

As good a location as there is in Sintra - a small quiet pedestrian area close to the royal palace, with outside tables and cosy inside rooms. The menu looked fine for lunch, pricy but OK. Our order was taken and the drinks and bread arrived quickly. Sixty minutes later and our food hadn't arrived. The waiter insisted that it... More

We stayed 2 nights in Sintra and ate here twice. Lovely, friendly staff and good food. The first night we were the only people sitting upstairs, but service was excellent and we had a very good meal. the following evening we sat in the bar, which has an open kitchen, and had tapas. The atmosphere was fun and food equally good.
