Get away from the central tourist area, walk behind the station and taste lovely home-cooked food, great wine and friendly service in a popular, traditional restaurant.

Have eaten there twice and ordered table for tomorrow again. Great octopus and seafood + bread stew. Also they have great wine - prices often cheaper than shops. Best place so far in Portugal!

Located near the train station, a little away from the main tourist area, is this lovely, welcoming restaurant. We had a delicious meal here. We shared a fish platter for two and it was great. Everything was beautifully cooked and the serve was generous. Topped it off with a yummy caramel flan dessert and coffee. Prices were reasonable. Service was... More

Ate here tonight and it had a lovely atmosphere. A welcome relief from the tourist traps in Sintra. I had Madeiran swordfish with banana - it wasnt actually swordfish but it was lovely, My partner had the unusual goat sausages. All washed down with vinho verde at good value price and friendly service. Will be back before we leave Sintra.

I did a little research before our visit to Sintra, as we had been there before and wanted to avoid the most touristy places. This restaurant was just what we were hoping for: conveniently located, attractive and comfortable ambience, professional friendly service, great food and wine and good prices. The couvert was so appealing we tucked into it all. A... More

Had a lovely meal here last night - authentic Portuguese dishes with a non touristy atmosphere. Many locals eat here and it was quite full even for a Tuesday. I enjoyed the special goat sausage with roasted vegetables (very generous portions). Good service and very good value.

Incredible Portuguese food. Simple and delicious. So reasonably priced. Located by the train station away from the main part of sontra. Lovely, not touristy restaurant with nice staff. Completely faultless.

Definitely try this restaurant for their fresh, flavoursome seafood. We ate here three times during our stay in Sintra and I ordered a different fish each night, they were all really terrific. Yum! They do really tasty chips too if you ask.

It's a cosy restaurant with a homy ambience and great food. Octopus, calamari and whole fish were excellent. And I must admit not worth than in the michelin restaurant the evening before. Also do not forget about chocolate cake)

Not fancy sauces, but good ingredients beautifully cooked. I had octopus cooked perfectly with oil and garlic, served with delicious little potatoes. DH had swordfish with bananas, an unusual combination which worked well. Both were served with broccoli which was a pleasant surprise for Portugal where veg often don't feature much in restaurants. DH enjoyed almond tart for pudding, and... More
