The quick service is compared with Mcdonalds, the food is excellent, of course they just serve "choco", but it's better be perfect in one thing instead of be medium in several things. Rei do Choco is one of the best restaurants in the country to eat this specialty, the price is very fair and the service is so fast that... More

This is the place to go to eat choco frito! Simple restaurant, indifferent service but the "choco frito" is superb. It has other options in the menu but I have never tried them.

Plain restaurant, no thrills, expect to cue up on lunch and dinner time. Order choco frito with a beer and eat!

This was one of the most appreciated meal of our tour of Portugal. The place is like a fast (sea) food, and they serve you quickly even if it is full of people. If you stop in Setubal, don't miss it. Taste the choco frito because it's worth the journey.

Visited with some friends who live in Setúbal and love this place. We ordered sandwiches with the famous "choc frit", beverages, and one serving of fresh fried to take away to the benches near the river, which is very close to the restaurant. Id never tried choco frito before, so I can't compare with other places, but I can say... More

I'm a regular on this kind of way to serve "choco". In this avenue you can find many places serving it. Pleasant and fast service. It may varies along the year, being more complicated on summer with numerous tourists. Good "choco frito" available.

I only go there to eat is fried cuttlefish especiallity fish. For me, there is no doubt about the best fried cuttlefish in the world. It is tasty and crunchy incridebly. I love it with a little tabasco sauce on a sandwich ... King is for shure. The only problem is the time that you lose, but it pays off.

At Setubal there are many options to eat one of the local specialties: fried cuttlefish, and sometimes this is an issue because we start comparing. Rei do Choco Frito definitely is not the King of Fried Cuttlefish. Greasy cuttlefish, low flavored, average service, overall lower than expected. There are several better options in Setubal.

Though I didn't try "Choco Frito" in many restaurants, this one was recomended by local friends and I did like the food and the staff. Prices are fair and the outdoor seating makes the meal even more enjoyable.
