Very accommodating kitchen enabled us to eat one night off an old menu and on a further two nights to meet some specific dietary needs. Would recommend you eat here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The setting is elegant, with a beautifully decorated dining room. The service was impeccable (although there were only 3 other parties dining). The appetizers were elegantly presented and delicious. The got cheese, honey and walnut in phyllo dough was especially notable. Dover sole was also superb. Highly recommend.

We booked a table in the D Maria hotel forward to a nice evening of food but I could not have been more wrong. The waiters were extremely favorable for us to eat and they did their best to get out as soon as possible

The restaurant is in the former kitchen of the queluz palace and is worth visiting to see the giant marble prep table and the cooking spit under the chimney. It is a fine dining establishment with helpful and attentive service but the food was uneven and disappointing given the prices. We had the best tomato soup that we've tasted in... More

Food heaven with a fabulous buffet of deserts. Staff attentive and friendly. Harpist playing added to the atmosphere adding to a great evening.

We has all the dishes which were the specialty of the restaurant, and each was wonderful. The goat cheese with walnut and honey served in a phyllo pastry was gorgeous to see and a great mix of flavors in the mouth. The lamb chops were beautifully prepared and served--and were delicious. The traditional cod dish was flavorful and a favorite.... More

This is a beautiful restaurant and located in the old royal kitchen. The huge stone table in the middle is amazing and we were told that it was the former working bench and weighs 16 tons! The chimney is fascinating and very big and one can imagine all the people working in the kitchen preparing food for the royals :)... More

Restaurants in Portuguese Pousadas are usually fairly good, but this one exceeds expectations. It serves traditional Portuguese food (or some dishes that are new, but based on traditional ones) made with care and respect. And we get to visit the old kitchen of the palace, with a very large and beautiful chimney.

We had our wedding dinner here and it was excellent. The food quality, the taste, and the attentiveness of the staff was outstanding! We told the chef what kind of dishes we were looking for and he designed truly unique menu. The dessert was a buffet with many different kinds of portuguese delicacies. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone... More
