stumbled across this by chance, was so impressed, we came back the next night. Despite it being very busy, service was prompt and friendly, and we were not rushed. They serve typical portugese food (fish/ rabbit/ pork dishes) decent portion sizes and the house red was exceptionally pleasant! My only regret is that we were not able to visit a... More

On our recent visit to Lisbon we discovered this restaurant on a side street near the hotel we were staying at. A lovely small side street bustling with locals and tourists alike that we could sit outside and watch go by. Always excited about the many choices of great fresh food in Lisbon we trusted the wait staff to help... More

This place gets busy for a reason. Given the constant touristic hum of the neighborhood this place does a wonderful job of serving up great Portuguese food and wine to people from all over the world. If they still stock 2012 Esporoa Reserva get some and realx into what should be lovely meal. Try the fish soup.

We came here by recommendation from a local friend. We came here 3 times and tried total of 5 different meals. It's difficult to say which was best, because they all tasted truly and utterly magnificent. Prices are reasonable, staff is very friendly. We have visited several restaurants during our 1-week trip around Portugal and this one is the very... More

Hard to make a choice in this area with so many restaurants, but we struck lucky. It was in walking distance of where we stayed, and we returned there three times in the week, each time very good, and pleasant staff. Typical Portuguese food is fairly rustic, but great fish dishes and all full of flavour. Huge portions so a... More

On a recent stay in Lisbon, our second in two years, the owner of the B & B we stayed in took us here for dinner, knowing we were interested in good eating. He knew exactly what he was doing - offering us an excellent opportunity to enjoy very high quality traditional fare with equal standard of wines and service.... More

Restaurant serves simple but good traditional Portuguese food which felt more of a local type restaurant. The fish soup was full of flavour and the main course of veal and chips was big and delicious. The price was incredibly reasonable compared to other restaurants close to the city centre.
