What a great evening! The food was excellent, the ambiance was old world romantic. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable. He was always there just when you wanted him to be and he recommended a fabulous wine. When in Lisbon this restaurant should be on the "bucket list."

Very good location in the charming Lapa neighborhood. Very nice house, with many different ambiances, very romantic and cosy. The staff is professional and very friendly. Very friendly and accessible chef. We ordered the chestnut cream with serra cheese powder as well as the sweet corn and chouriço cream. Delicate, tasteful, light. The main dish was the black pork cachaço... More

I had the chance, during the course of my career, to eat in many restaurants with 'stars' in the famous French guides. So I can compare. Clube de Jornalistas is not only a very good, but also a very pleasant and cosy restaurant. "Vaut le détour" as they say in France.

It was our first visit to Lisbon.. we were given the name of the restaurant by an employee from another restaurant. The restaurant is in a very unassuming area so we taxi cabbed it as we never would have found it on our own. Upon entering "Jornalistas" we were so pleasantly surprised. We felt like we stepped back into the... More

Led through the little interconnecting rooms to your well spaces out table you are given a glass of fizz to sip while you peruse the interesting modern Portuguese menu. Food was good, smoked duck breast in particular. Wine was excellent from the special cellar abd very reasonable for a wine with sone age. Fantastic interesting puddings. A great night out... More

We came to Lisbon for our anniversary and chose this restaurant for our celebration and they did not disappoint . We were greeted with a glass of champagne and the service remained impeccable. we shared two apps (mackerel ceviche) and fried cheese and rather than bring them at the same time, they brought two small plates one after the other.... Arrived with big expectations, what can i say,but a huge let down, tried several starters and Entree's,rather quite ordinary and rather bland, and then i could not pay with a credit card, either Amex or Visa,it was mentioned there was a problem with the card reading machine, proceeded to try a debit card, and hey, presto,it worked, less commission to pay,or am i being cynical, waiter attending was the...
