We went to the Clube after reading TA reviews & we're glad we'd made the effort (Metro journey & a bit of a walk down Lisbon's famously slippery cobbled streets). We were welcomed with a glass of fizzy pop and we liked the cool decor and the comfortable chairs. The food was great - and entertaining - gin flavoured bread,... More

Everything was nice about our evening. We were welcomed with glasses of a fairly good champaign. We told the water we wanted to share dish so everything was split in two plates which I think is a really nice touch. The salmon was really good (do ask for some wild rice if you are really hungry though). Go for the... More

Read the reviews - and was so disappointed. There are a series of rooms, some of which looked attractive, but the one in which we were seated was bland and could really use a makeover, so zero score for atmosphere. The food tries to be fusion, but the actually doesn't quite convince. There was no suggestion of a 'digestive' and... More

Fantastic - from the welcome, service, wine and food not to mention the beautiful building Clube de Jornalistas is housed in. With the French doors open onto a small garden at the back and a number of small inter-linked rooms this was a lovely, atmospheric restaurant with friendly, attentive but discrete service - truly professional and not stuffy in the... Thought we would try this place as it was only a short walk from the Olissipo Lapa Palace Hotel. When you arrive you are welcomed with a complimentary glass of fizz and shown to your table. The service could not have been better, everyone was so welcoming and willing to do anything for you. This included being able to mix... More

Really get the feel that this used to be a private club in the 20's and 30's. Very interesting and often beautiful spaces, very pleasant service. The food is quite good but a mixed bag. It is all well prepared but probably nothing exceptional. Most servers seem to push the massive assorted dessert plate but in retrospect, I would have... More

A nice combination of elegant atmosphere, attentive service and good food with matched wines will lead you to a most enjoyable evening. Definitly recommendable to anyone visiting Lisbon, but you have better take the time to make a reservation.

The entire experience was wonderful; from our greeting by a warm and friendly staff (with preseco) to the finale capped off with a complimentary porto. The food, staff and atmosphere all rate a 10. If you're in Lisbon, put this gem on your list.

A very nice place, a bit out of the center, but when you take tram 28 or a taxi, it is easy to get here. We enjoyed a magnificent dinner and ended with a great port!
