Our meal at Clube de Jornalistas was faultless, and is undoubtedly in contention for one of the best restaurant experience my boyfriend and I have ever enjoyed. We were greeted by SPOILER ALERT a free glass of champagne each (which went down a treat after a very protracted amble to this off-the-beaten-track treasure trove!) The staff we incredibly friendly from... More

Like most of Lisbon, this restaurant looks very unassuming when you finally find it on a largely residential street. The wonder begins when you are taken through beautiful period rooms to the enormous ancient courtyard. The courtyard is full of beautiful fully grown Jacaranda trees that shade the stone floors and beautifully lit tables. The food would probably be described... More

An absolutely great restaurant. We were there with our adult children and had an absolutely fantastic evening. The reception, with a glass of bubbly, the ambiance, with the authentic architectural elements, and of course the food and wine made for an unforgettable combination.

End of September had booked lunch for my husband's birthday. It was a very good experience despite us being the only clients. I was surprised they had taken and honoured the booking - chef and waiter for only two - but it didn't feel bleak as it usually would in an empty restaurant. They had set a lovely little table... Well, this is the best restaurant we have been to during our 4 day stay in Lisbon. Located in a very good location (Lapa area), this restaurant really offers fantastic value for money. The food is close to what you would be served in a 1 star Michelin restaurant (quality of the products, presentation, originality...). The 3 courses we had... More

Delightful experience starting with a free glass of champagne. The hostess(owner) was charming and engaging. We had a group of six and every dish was delicious. I had the black Pork tenderloin which was perfectly done. We inquired about something we couldn't identify ,The chef came to our table to explain his choice of pairing and preparation. We had large... More

It s a bit the hype place with a solid 1/2 of the customers being tourists. Delicious cold soup of ripe tomatoes and tasty chevice, followed by a well prepared octopus and a cod lacking of the full flavor you would expect from this place. The ice creams are just killers, try the basilic and the moscatel together, it is... More

We searched Trip Advisor in Lisbon and found Clube de Jouralistas. Our experience tonight was outstanding. From the complimentary champagne to the great service to the wonderful culinary delights. The chef and our waitress ( one of the best we've had in amy country) said goodbye at the door like we were old friends visitng their home. The salmon, cod... More

We were greeted with a surprise glass of champagne and many treats during the meal. I had octopus and it was cooked perfectly. The corn soup is excellent but save room for desserts! I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the woman who greeted us but she was so nice and really set the mood for the entire dinner.... More
