Our weekend was made even more special by our reception and dinner at this restaurant. We discussed our evening with the restaurant prior to the visit and we were greeted by the family as long lost friends, with a glass of prosecco. We were then escorted to our table, through the delightful dining rooms with views of the stunning central courtyard. Our waiters were... This ia a very nice restaurant for eating out while visiting Lisbon. Not to crowded, pleasant music, caring staff and delicious food. At the end staff member gave us 2 presents - box of sardines and a bag :)

We stayed in Lisbon recently, for a long weekend away with our adult sons. We all enjoy good food so I did some research and booked Clube de Journalistas for our second and final night. On arrival we were presented with a glass of prosecco by a very friendly waiter, a very nice way to start the evening. Our table... More

With all the very good reviews on Tripadvisor my expectations were quite high. It's a good table, some surprising tasts of the brazilian cuisine especially compared to other restaurants in Lisbon it is very good, but stil it's not a place I would give 5 stars for the few details I have experienced there: Wheras all was nicely presented and... As regular visitors to Lisbon we have usually eaten reasonable meals without ever having felt that we had found an outstanding restaurant. Discovered on tripadvisor, we decided to try the Clube de Jornalistas and it exceeded our expectations. Away from the bright lights, the old building could easily be passed by without one realising what it housed. We had booked... More

It was our first night in Lisbon and we were eager to try a lot of different wine and food. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The glass of cava on arrival was a nice touch and it just got better. We were completely blown away by the food and the wine and the service. Such a wonderful evening,... More

I don't even know where to start... We loved everything about this restaurant! We were cared for and looked after by every member of staff, starting with being greeted at the door by a tall Portuguese god, with glasses of champagne. We trusted our server to make wine and food suggestions, and we were not let down one bit! We... More

A bit different in a good way without being pretentious about it. Decent wine list, good menu - with 2/3 fish 1/3 meat. I had the carpaccio as a starter, lamb kebab as a main and "sweet pieces" for dessert. The starter and main were really good, but the dessert was a bit of a let down when it all... More

Very nice restaurant outside the tourist centre but only about a €6 taxi fare. Food is of a very high quality. Interesting combinations. We had the corn & chorizo soup which was beautiful. We then had the lamb burger & the black pork loin which were both wonderful. The wines were a highlight. Definitely recommend this restaurant for those that... More

This was our third time at the restaurant and it just getting better and better! The food is excellent. I'm from Sweden and love salmon, but not even in Sweden you get it this well... More
