Small and discreet, opens into a classic British-style inspired restaurant (if you are fond of the white lacquer furniture avoid this cosy place). Smoking is allowed in the room on the ground level so we climbed to the first floor where two couples respective babies and toddlers were having dinner. Unfortunately they felt so at home that they mostly disregarded... More

but not only a very good steak . A charming atmosphere and a very kin d and flawless service. Arriving from London and having a late dinner at a Sunday night isn't everywhere you can got it . Even the music is fantastic. A very good price quality price of wines . I'll revisit always this splendid place

On the basis of positive reviews, my girlfriend and I chose this place for dinner on our first night. It turned out to be the best meal we had during our stay!! The service was polite, friendly and fast, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, and the steak was fantastic. In short, the meal was pricey but definitely worth it. Go... More

I have read many reviews on this place and love my steaks. So, expectedly, when I arrived at Mercado da Ribeira (food hall) and noticed the writing on the Cafe De Sao Bento menu wall stating 'Best steak in Lisbon' my expectations soared. So my wife ordered the Bife do Lombo at a cost of 16,5 euros (with no sides)!... More

Best steak in Lisbon! Tried the traditional one in Rua de São Bento and it is delicious. The atmosphere is good to enjoy a calm dinner. Recently, lauched a new space in a different location ( Mercado da Ribeira ), where it is possible to try some menus but in a different atmosphere ( very crowded place ), and close... More

Reading some of these reviews i was surprised. The meat is good but nothing special. We did not like the decoration at all. Old fashioned, and rather tacky... velvet... 2014 not really fashion. It gave me the impression to be in a brothel serving steak in stead of girls... Not my place. Too expensive for what it is. Probably succesfull... More

Indeed, we don't know any brothel , and due to that we can't compare our restaurante with a brothel . We really don't understand how a restaurnt can be good " only after hours " . As you can check your review is completly out of the others reviews . In anyway we respect all the opinions More

Very plain exterior so you wonder if you have come to the right place. Ring the doorbell and then you are greeted by very friendly waiter. We ate upstairs - it is a shame that this is the non smoking area as the downstairs is a more interesting room. We had excellent trio of dried ham and some lovely cheese... More

I visited here with my wife and son recently. The cafe gives the impression of being a select dining club right from the start. The front door is like a normal house and you have ring the bell to enter the restaurant. The waiters are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. My wife and I both had the... More
