My wife and i visited here one evening around 8. At that time, the restaurant was not full, but it quickly filled up and was full by 9. The menu has many choices from both starters and entrees. I had one of the sausage choices--excellent Portuguese entree, delicious. The frites that came with it had to be some of the... More

this restaurant is listed in a number of guidebooks and can be a bit touristy. that said, the staff speaks excellent English, Spanish and portuguese. the food was decent (the pepper soup was excellent and i enjoyed my pasta). in the warmer months they have a cute terrasse. it was a nice place to stop while exploring the maze which... Terrible tapas, I cannot think of ANYTHING good to write about this place; if you are from England and you have some semblance of good food taste, please do not even attempt it. Appalling But the wine was ok......go somewhere else......

We stayed four nights in Lisbon in the Alfama district. This restaurant was a few minute walk from our hotel, Palacete Chafariz D'El Rei (fantastic!), and took us two attempts to get a reservation (weekends are BUSY!). We went on a Sunday evening, terrace dining was closed, but no matter, the interior presents a comfortable ambiance. The host / manager... More

Lovely restaurant under a roof of grapes. Very cosy with a nice view on the church. This is a mix of modern and traditional offering an exceptional cousine My advice is trying all the entries and then go straight to a traditional dessert

We had a nice lunch here and the service was very good. The food was fine, but it is clear that this place has been "discovered". It's a nice setting.

This restaurant is recommended in, among others, Lonely Planets guide of Lisbon. It was situated just a few minutes walk from the apartment we lived in during our stay in Lisbon and so we decided to have this restaurant as our first proper dining place in Lisbon. The food was good, but far from excellent, with the side dishes especially,... More

If you want to have dinner at a romantic place, it can be a good place to go. If you are picky at food and service, you'd better find another place. The service is slow. It's way too crowded even you sit outside. We ordered a bottle of wine, the waiter opened it for us and left broken cork in... More
