Title says it all really. Careful when they put bread etc on the table, anything you touch you pay for and its very expensive for what it is. Wife went for salmon, I had the sea bass. Both meals were ok, but if I'm honest nothing worth writing home about. They ram as many people in as possible... read more

We had chicken and roasted duck and it was really good. For desert, the pear in port wine sauce, it was delicious. The service is excellent and you feel welcome. A place to recommend.

As the title says, do not eat the bread stew. I cannot think of a worse meal I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Oily, flavorless mush with the consistency of vomit. I cannot pass judgment on any of the other entrees so I won't suggest to completely steer clear of this place, but I am not a particularly picky eater... More

Its difficult to find a good restaurant in the middle of the dining area of Lisbon. This is a good one. Great service and good local food. Open till late.

I had been to Alfaia on a prior visit to Lisbon more than 10 years ago, and was reluctant to go back after reading the more recent reviews below. I'm glad we went anyhow, because we had a very nice lunch there. It is true that everything put on the table as 'couvert' is individually charge and relatively expensive, but... More

Visiting Lisbon come here to have a dinner. Amazing traditional Potuguese food, especially sea food. Try as Farafais as desert. You'll not regret!

Small restaurant in the Barrio Alto (aren't they almost all up there) serving, among other things on the menu, traditional Portuguese dishes, which seems to attract locals as well as the inevitable tourists (like us!). But watch out - Portugal was a poor country, and its traditional cuisine often bulks out food with simple ingredients. We had a prawn dish,... More

Best part of meal was the cheese and ham that you are given as you come in,but take care they are far too expensive. The pig was served with chips that were worse than bij mc.donalds.wijn was ok and served nicely in large glasses.,but basically a ripoff.

Went here because it looked busy and the menu looked good. We chose to eat inside because it was windy. We were put on a terrible tiny table. The service was very rushed. They put down a lot of starters (breads, cheeses, olives) without us asking. We tucked into a couple before seeing the menu and realising these were ridiculously... More

We went here for an early dinner after a long day of sightseeing because it was the only restaurant in open Bairro Alto before seven o’clock. The service was unfriendly and slow, the food looked awful and tasted even worse. But still this was the most expensive place we dined in during our vacation!! Just avoid this place at all... More
