We stopped here for dinner on our first evening. We sat on the street, which turned out to be a mistake as some buskers set up camp right next to us and deafened us for twenty minutes. The waiter recommended a kind of mojito cocktail, which was delicious. We also twigged not to eat the variety of nibbles they put... More

We went 2 times in a week, the grilled octopus was delicious! We also had the meat with cockles, that was not so good, but everything we had on the grill was top!

"Alfaia" has been there for years and years. Tourists have come and gone. It is no temple of gastronomy and its food is not unforgettable. But it is so "lisboeta", that I think you should give it a try. At the heart of Bairro Alto, with outside tables placed right at the sidewalk, with cars passing so close ... high... More

Needed to quickly find somewhere to eat so popped into this place. Food was OK and wine was nice but left feeling we should have spent the time finding something better.

You sit down, and instantly see a feast placed in front of you without your consent: bread, butter, 3 cheeses, olives, and some ham. The waiter says, "eat only what you want." I didn't see a single table refuse it, because it look pretty damn good. Naturally, it costs you a heft 30 euros for everything. Well, the olives were... More

We enjoyed the outdoor seating at this restaurant in the Bario. The fish and sides were perfect. Best of all was Seeing and being part of the Bario vibe. Waiters were friendly and provided a menus in English . We loved the no rush atmosphere.

The restaurant is in a good location, but the food is mediocre. Prices are too high for what they deliver. The fish if my wife was not cooked freshly. I had vegetables with olive oil with bread mix. It was not very well done. Service is like the food. Avoid it.

We tried the restaurant due to the high review score but we were not impressed. We are not fussy eaters, if the food is tasty we can leave aside other inconveniences but this was not the case. Food was not very good, prices for the wine were high, the good part about it was the service which was attentive and... More

Very good food, attentive and cheerful service (one junior fella had been on the job for a mere 8 days), good suggestions, wine was fine (a bit pricey by Lisbon standards but still a bargain by Canadian standards), and the atmosphere was good. I had the pork cheeks, which were incredibly tasty; my companion had the seafood and rice dish... More

We stopped here on the way to another restaurant which was unfortunately closed (it was holy week). The food was fine - nothing spectacular. When they bring the olives, bread and cheese, take what you want and ask them to take what you don't want because you will be charged for anything you touch. We only ate the olives but... More
