We head just arrived in Lisbon and were hunting for a place for lunch when we stumbled upon this restaurant. It was just ok. We found the wait staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. The ambiance of the place felt like a local place but it soon became obvious that pretty well all of the customers in our room didn't... More

This is the Bairro Alto. It is a magnet for tourists and most of the restaurants know that. But there are not so many restaurants with a decent enough Portuguese kitchen that have tables outside to watch the hustle and bustle of this fascinating corner of Lisbon. Yes, you will pay a few more euro - and will have to... More

Stay away from this restaurant. The worse one we had in Lisbon. I really don't understand how come that they have some good reviews . Not only bad food and badly cooked and presented, expensive too. My dish (a vegetarian dish) included even some items out of a can. My husband had a grilled bacalao dish with veggies (it was... More

Cosy wine bar, owner gave nice suggestions for wine to try but wasn't overly helpful. Nice tapas. Wines were about 4-6 euros for a tasting.

In the "in" areas and along the tourist tracks of Lisbon (Baixa, Alfama or Bairro Alto) you can find a huge choice of local or whatsoever restaurants. And usually, it's rather difficult to make a proper choice because most of them offer a pretty common standard of Portuguese dishes or specialities. After some longer observations and comparisons I tried the... More

We stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere to eat around the Barrio Alto area. We decided to sit down as we didn't see a menu in lots of different languages advertised on a blackboard - and in a neighbourhood surrounded by those kind of places we thought that might be a sign for good food. As some other... More

Wandering through the Barrio Alta on a warm Saturday evening, we happened upon an empty streetside table for two at this busy restaurant. Staff were helpful and efficient. Hawkers, street musician, and passing taxis that brushed past the tablecloth, added to the atmosphere. We had already twigged that the substantial nibbles came at a price, as in other restaurants we... More

Stay away from this place. We eent there 7 people and the food is really poor. They charge 20 euro for ham and cheese placed on the table when you arrive. The service is very slow, they pay a minimum off attention to the coustomers and when tey at last arrive to the table, you get the impression that they... More

I've been in this restaurant at the beginning of October with my family and we did not enjoy service, at first, and food either. I do not suggest you to go there, there are so many good restaurants in Lisbon that we have been really unlucky to end up in this one

Across from the restaurant is a wine bar with lots of open wine to try at prices that are not inexpensive for Lisbon. The manager is knowledgeable but you must take time as his English is not fluent. In the evening the back room of about 6 tables is packed and the wine bar in front is packed. In the... More
