Being Italian, I'm always trying to find good pizzas to remind me of my home country. During my two years in Lisbon I tried various pizza restaurants, and in my opinion Casanova is the restaurant that serves the best pizzas in town. I went there on various occasions and tried different pizzas, and I was never disappointed. The tiramisu is... More

Having said that the pizzas (and food generally) in Rome were pretty poor. But having recently visited Rome I do find it odd that I get one of the best pizzas ever in Lisbon. The three of us all agreed about the quality of the food. Great river views and outside seating. it's not bang in the centre but close... More

No-nonsense about food, lots of families visiting, friendly service and nice prices. Trendy, but not in your face.

This is a cute place for lunch a train stop away from the Praca do Comercio right by the water, right outside the Santa Apolonia stop. There is not much going on around this area but the pizza is worth the trip here. The view is a little occluded once you sit but you still feel like you are outdoors.... More

Visited the place July 2014 and since then I've found myself dreaming of pizza Casanova (their signature pizza) every now and then. This was seriously the best pizza I´ve ever eaten (better than any pizza I´ve had in Italy!). The service was always very friendly and fast. You probably will have to queue if you arrive after 7pm, but the... More

I live in Lisbon and had lunch/dinner many times in this place, let me tell you why I keep going back: -Pizza is great (sometimes not perfect, but usually it's just perfect) - in my opinion the best thing this place has to offer. -Great value - pizzas are not that expensive, and you have other things to choose from... The best restaurant in Lisbon definitely. The location is next to the sea, interesting entrance through kitchen so you can see how they make pizzas and all other food. The waiters are sooo good and friendly...

Fine pizza offerings, including 'half and halfs' for those who can't make a commitment to only one of the listed pizzas. The secret to a good pizza is the right dough and a wood fired oven. Cassanova's has both. It also has the hardest working serving team I've ever witnesses. They managed to serve the more than 70 seated patrons... More
