Fine pizza offerings, including 'half and halfs' for those who can't make a commitment to only one of the listed pizzas. The secret to a good pizza is the right dough and a wood fired oven. Cassanova's has both. It also has the hardest working serving team I've ever witnesses. They managed to serve the more than 70 seated patrons... More

Really worth going here for a pizza. Probably the best pizzas I have had in Lisboa. The place is cool and full of life. There's a really nice courtyard outside facing river Tejo where you can also enjoy your meal. Tip: not sure about lunchtime, but for dinner, try to arrive as early as possible, or you'll have to wait... More

Other reviewers seem to think the pizzas here are the best in Lisbon, if not the universe. That's absolute bunkum, they're nice pizzas but not good enough to warrant the almost cult-like fanaticism that Casanova generates amongst the locals. We arrived at about 7pm, service was super quick and we managed to get a bench outside straight away with a... More

Straight down toward the river from Alfama you will find some old docks that have been converted into a cluster of new restaurants and delis. Casanova restaurant is one of these. On a sunny evening on a Saturday in august we arrived... We expected to have to wait but we were shown straight to a table on the terrace overlooking... More

Listen, I travel the world for a living (I am an international pilot) and I love to eat pizza. To me, the standard is Pizzaria Bianco in Phoenix, AZ, USA. I had 3 trips to LIS (Lisbon) in my line in August and I went to eat at PC every one of them. There is a reason the line goes... More

Don't even try other places. The pizza here is best In the country. They make it in an open kitchen where you can see all the different pastas and sauces. The pizzas are great. Diavola is recommended for those who like it spicy but there are many other choices. The view outside os gorgeous. You can see the Tejo and... More

This pizzeria is really really good: finally you can taste a very good italian style pizza in a pizzeria which is not in Italy... In fact, I am italian, and when I go abroad and they claim to make the "original italian pizza" - and then what you get is completely different - I get a little upset. But this... More

One of the most important thing for a good place to eat is consistency! Casanova delivers exactly that both on food quality and service. The pizzas and pastas are very good every time (been there at least 15 times), with always the same right taste and cooking to the right point. No surprise, it is what you expect. Service is... More

This is a modern style Italian restaurant, serving plain, simple but delicious food. Tables are shared, service is superfast and kind, and there is always a crowd here. Great visit, a bit off the beaten track. A very nice deli is next doors.

I really don't understand how people can like this place... We were seated outside, almost glued to the couple next to us, having to share the same bench. Then...both pizzas were served on the same plate for both our surprise and the people next to us... They then did the favour of giving us two small desert plates, so we... More
