When the temperature gets too much relax in this cool cafe and indulge in their generous sized homemade quiches and puddings. Lots of mismatched furnishings make this cafe fun.

Great surroundings, snuggled up against a cathedral...mix of old book store, café, restaurant, with comfortable atmosphere and portraits of Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa

Pois Cafe is located in a beautiful neighborhood called Alfama with some of the more famous sites in Lisbon. It's a cozy site, with couches and armchairs and high tables for relaxing with books and magazines for reading. Have a light lunch, coffee, or desert here. There was wifi available, as well. Prices and portions were average... think bistro or... More

Pois Cafe has everything I look for in a cafe/restaurant. Ambience, location, friendly waitstaff, and most importantly, tasty food. I was there for a late lunch and had the "eggplant stuffed w/lamb". It was so delicious and seasoned just right. And, the draft beer I had was the perfect compliment.

While in Lisbon, don't miss Pois Cafe for a lovely atmosphere and great breakfast/brunch choices. Although they open a bit late (11 am), it's worth waiting. We had a perfect mix of cheese and cold meat, omelet and salads including guacamole and humus, fresh juices and good coffee. The location's interior design is wonderful. Joyful, bright and optimistic. The terrace... More

Our waiter and waitress were both just lovely, and we got all our food and drinks out in good time! The inside of the cafe had a chilled, boho feel to it, and you could kind of tell the staff actually enjoyed working there. What you will first notice about this place when you walk in is the sense of character this place has. You just take a seat and someone will come to serve you shortly thereafter. They have free wi-fi but ask that you don't stay too long during busy hours. What I liked the most about this place was that they... More

Had a really nice brunch at Pois Cafe. I had the light lunch (consisting of a glass of juice, a half portion of soup and a half portion of a dish of my choice) and my hubby had a sandwich. Both were very tasty and kept us full while we spent the rest of the day exploring the Castelo area.

Stumbled on this cafe as we were on our way to the Se and the rain came down, so we took shelter here. Ordered tea and came in a huge teapot complete with mugs, just what was needed! Very relaxed ambience, jolly relaxed staff and frankly could have stayed there all day!
