I could do sample all they had there! Great food! An almost infinite selection of all imaginable cod plates that Portugal can offer

Placed in a popular yet nice and undiscovered neighborhood, a Casa do Bacalhau is a very nice restaurant. It's classy, without being pretentious. The service is nice and professional. And the bacalhau... Well, it is a its best! As a starter, we had some delicious king prawns. And then, after a long and elaborate choice (well, there are a lot... More

This restaurant was recommended to us us by our hotel, who advised we book for a Friday night and kindly made a reservation for us. The restaurant isn't walking distance from the centre but it's only a 6/7 minute cab ride (make sure you take the address as even our cabbie didn't know it). We walked in and apart from... More

The restaurant is away from the most popular neighborhoods, so be ready to use your GPS to find it, but it is really excellent. Service is fine, wine selection bery good and the main dishes are large and very tastefull. I ate so much that was unable to try the desert, so if you really want it, avoid the aptizers.

Best codfish I had in Lisbon. Ordered the grilled codfish with potatoes. As well as rose port wine. Food and drink both great. Service staff very attentive and helpful. Romantic interior. Hidden gem in a quiet neighborhood. Dinner starts 7.30pm

Went for dinner and had a good experience. Of course I ate codfish. I was with 2 other persons and we all ate codfish. The best for me was the Gomes de Sá Codfish. The restaurant is very nice and well decorated. The service is excellent. Also tried the deserts and they are quite good. If you want to eat... More

If you like codfish (and I do) is a place you must go. The menu is composed almost exclusively by cod dishes, some more classic some more modern, but of what we experience, all good. The tongues were fabulous and “bacalhau à bras” (my favorite) one of the best I have ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot throughout my... More

We wanted to try a real bacalhau in Lisbon and a place called Casa do Bacalhau looked promising enough. We didn't regret a bit. It is a bit outside the city centre, around 15 minutes taxi ride from the avenida de liberdade. The place is quite beautiful, with high roof and suggestive old style arquitecture. The menu is practically only... More

I went to Casa da Bacalhau in a birthday party, so a big group of friends. The birthday boy had some promotional vouchers, thus the price was OK. I have to say the food was great, no doubt about it, but the service was the opposite, (not to say terrible). Yes, it was that bad. The employee, while serving wine,... More

A wonderful, relaxing experience. The food was prepared beautifully. The wine list is very complete and has excellent Portuguese wines on it. The staff were delightful, knowledgable and friendly.
