Paulo is a gracious host

Quaint little restaurant open on Sunday night in West Lisbon. Great local wines and excellent rabbit.

The restaurant is quite out of the way, but they offer a free tuktuk from chiado, if you call the restaurant first. They offer typical Portuguese fare which was pleasant enough. The fado was very good and lovely when all the Portuguese starting singing along. Really good if you want a traditional Portuguese evening.

Another restaurant recommended by our hotel and only 5 minutes walk away. Good service from our helpful waiter and a nice menu to choose from. Our starters, wine and puddings were delicious. However, our choice of cod fish cakes were disappointing with not much flavour and rather greasy.

we stumbled on it by chance. A nice white restaurant, clean lines but still cosy. The service was outstandingly friendly, the food less outstanding but still absolutely worth it. Pedro went to great lengths to please us and to suggest dishes and wines we might like. Definitely worth coming back to.

We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst trying to find another. After looking inside, intrigued by the soft lighting and laughter coming from inside, we booked for the next night (they were full and could not accommodate us that evening). What a treat ! the food is absolutely exquisite, beautifully cooked authentic portuguese fair. The confident and polite manager guided us... More

Small, intimate and relaxed restaurant with great food and charming service. Portugese sausage is fabulous and the SãoTomé chocolate cake rich and powerful. Best to go from 9 onwards and worth a visit at least once.

The restaurant is situated in a very quiet, charming side street and we were welcomed by a very friendly host and waiter. When we sat, we were presented with the welcoming dishes of ham, cheese, bread a very good crab spread. There is a regular menu and a good choice in the specials menu too. Unfortunately we didn't find the... More

Guarda Mor is a really nice restaurant, very good food, good environment. The staff were good, personable, attentive, friendly. But the reason we will return every time we're in Lisbon is the wonderful fado music. Some of the very best we've heard! Don't miss this one!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel as somewhere to experience traditional fado music with great food and that is exactly what we got! The service was outstanding throughout, even cooking a bespoke vegetarian dinner for us. They have beautiful fado every Wednesday, starting at 10:30 and going on beyond midnight, lending a great atmosphere to the place... More
