A Wonderful Find

This is a small, family Italian restaurant. The food was simple but well-prepared and very fresh and the waiter/proprietor could not have been more friendly and welcoming. If you crave good, old-fashioned Italian while in Lisbon, this is the place for you.

Nicely tucked in Bairro Alto, we almost passed it by accident. It was packed when we arrived, so we made a reservation and headed elsewhere for drinks. When we returned and got our meals (superfast service, by the way), the reason for the popularity was obvious. I had an uniquely excellent ´spaghetti vongole´, my friend went for the ´spinach ravioli´... More

I went there by chance with group of friends and was surprised by some high quality food! The surroundings are nicely decorated and the staff friendly, but I will never forget the Mango and brie risotto I had here! It was fantastic!!!

Lovely italian. So good went a second time. Caprese salad was lovely. The wait staff where very friendly and also able to help translate the menu. On the second visit, spotted lemon meringue pie, and was able to have a piece put aside for me. Great!

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The waiter was very helpful and made good recommendations for food and wine. We both had very tasty pasta dishes, a delicious salad with arugula and great wine. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly...we felt very welcome. It was our last night in Lisbon...if not we would have returned for... More

A friendly and extremely competant waitor, fantastic food and a beautiful wine made for a great evening. My wife and I were there for 2 hours and had a great time. What else could you want? Oh, and quite reasonably priced as well.

Our waiter Joao was very kind and helpful. He assisted us with the choice of wines with great expertise and even let us try to be able to make the right choice. We had the pinot griglio, the corvo and the cannonau, which were all very good. Heads up for the very nice scroppino! The food was also very nice,... More

Recommended by friends who live locally. Decor very off putting-stark, bright white &pistacio green chairs like an afternoon tea place rather than restaurant. Chairs are these hard high backed Oriental style ones-quite uncomfortable. Decor and menu stuck in the 90s ....but food delicious and service superb. We had partridge marinaded in cognac for several days but it wasn't rich. Our... More

The menu was quite varied and, whilst the food that arrived wasn't quite what we were expecting (their veal mileanese was more like a stew), it was very tasty.

Our quest for Lisbon restaurants with vegetarian options led us to this cute, out-of-the-way little place in the Bairro Alto. The atmosphere is quiet, the wait staff friendly, and the pale green chairs unexpected in an Italian restaurant. We ordered the lemon-and-saffron pasta and the pasta pomodoro; both were fresh and well-prepared. We had a chocolate dessert (I don't remember... More
