I really enjoyed everything, from great staff, delicious food, and beautiful decor! The day I went the place was almost full, and even like that the service was great. I have no complains at all, and I would definitely go back, on my next trip to the beautiful Lisbon!

all the reviews praising the décor are more or less correct..but its not all that great. There are grander places. We went on a Friday and the place was empty save for a couple of tables. There was 1 waiter and 1 captain serving the entire place. The food was bad..it wasn't "ok".. it wasn't "passable" it was plain bad.... More

My husband have gone to this restaurant with a group of colleagues years ago and we decided to check how it was. It was not a bad experience, but their food was nicely presented but just ok. The environment seems to be living from a more glorious past that makes the staff to have their noses a bit up. The... More

The place is stunningly beautiful. The staff was great and the wine phenomenal. That being said, it was telling that the place was empty at 10:00pm on a Friday. We had the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings. Apparently, they don't usually offer the tasting menu that late, but the chef made an exception. That was kind and we appreciated... More

The interior picks up the Baroque architecture that would have been around at the time that this restaurant was built (its the second oldest restaurant in Western Europe). It is spectacular topped only by the impeccable service. The staff seemed to sense when you were ready to make a move - be it to order or anything else - and... More

Excellent food and impeccable service, but don't go there if you're looking for an "intimate environment". Open street windows, bright lights, all mirrors ... not exactly a secret hideaway. And don't go there with an empty wallet either. But it's definitely worth the experience.

Well this is the oldest restaurant in Lisbon and second oldest restaurant in Western Europe. The interior is simply spectacular. The service is impeccable. And the food is a modern take on Portuguese classics. My wife and I had a wonderful meal and evening here. We'd fully recommend it.

This restaurant is simply magnificent! It is definitely a "dress up" restaurant but well worth experiencing. The wait staff is very kind and attentive yet not hovering. The interior is like a palace. We opted for the Chef's tasting menu with wine accompaniment. All 7 courses were as beautiful to look at as delicious they were to eat. The chef... More

Clearly, I should have been more dressed up when I entered this empty restaurant. The staff made it clear that they thought I shouldn't have been there. The decor is phenomenal. It feels like you are eating in a royal palace and the food, while being a bit too experimental for its own good is still of a very high... More
