Quite enjoyable

Pretty tasty food, quite a variety to choose from, friendly service, average value for money. 16 euros seems a bit steep for all-you-can-eat though still accessible. Maybe it's down to the quality of the food but imo it was no more than fine. Still, I'd recommend it both for the experience and the... read more

It is worth the big climb up hill to get to this restaurant. An all you can eat vegetarian buffet is rare, and especially one with such great food. Highly recommended.

I came here a few nights ago for a date. We were the first to enter the restaurant and had a look at their buffet. I am lactose intolerant since ten years and my date has been strictly vegan since twenty years, so of course the first thing we did was ask about the food, which our first waiter confirmed... More

Great vegetarian buffet, lots of choice, delicious and flavoursome food. As much as you like. Extraordinary how the staff can be so unfriendly. We find the Portuguese really welcoming and friendly, and these were the only waiters we came across who acted like they didn't want to be there and could not be bothered to serve us. Are they trying... More

I visit the place often during lunch and the food here is very, very good. You can always count on a fully stuffed buffet. My only con is the staff that could really be more friendly.

We came here as a group of eight – if you come with this many people you should definitely make reservations before! We were seated in a smaller rather quiet room next to the backyard (which must be very nice when it is warm enough to sit outside). The service was a little slow with the drinks but otherwise friendly... More

Dear Waiter at Terra, We turned up to Terra - our first meal in Portugal - on a beautiful sunny evening. You asked us whether we wanted to sit indoors or outdoors. We initially said inside, but then you showed us the beautiful garden and we decided to eat there. It was here that things started to go wrong. You... More

Terra is one of the wonders of the veggie world; (ok, so I haven't travelled that extensively!) it ranks alongside Florence's Il Vegetariano as a highly individual eaterie which is a little off-the-beaten track and frequented by locals as much as tourists. We ate twice in a four-night stay and I would happily book a table every night if I... More

There was nothing on offer here that I couldn't have cooked at home. The hot food was warm and the cold food was warm also. The guy who served us seemed unable to smile but he was fantastic compared to the guy who took the drinks order. Really disappointing, don't bother.

My partner and I went here for my birthday dinner. We were pleased with the buffet and found the price (15,90) to be pretty fair as of course we helped ourselves to a good amount! However it would be nice if it included a drink or dessert. The food was a mix of things, soup, salads, curries, fried side dishes,... More

Staying in Principe Real

Neighborhood Profile
Principe Real
From the splendid garden and its cafe-kiosk to its restaurants, Príncipe Real is more than worthy of a visit and it won't let you down: its attractions include "Pavilhão Chinês" (one of the more eccentric interior designs you'll ever see), museums and a fantastic botanical garden. It's also a commercial neighborhood, and you can visit a renovated Palace, home of the Embaixada (embassy) trendy shopping center with its cafes, art galleries and luxury shops... and even if you don't buy anything, take a look inside just for its marvellous interiors. On top of this, Príncipe Real offers a variety of places to eat: if you're in a hurry, drop by "Pizza a Pezzi"; and if you're not, taste the delicious Honorato hamburgers, Argentinian cuisine at La Paparrucha and also great, delicious Portuguese food at Tascardoso!
