Charming, no hastle dinner

Been here a bunch of times, and always pleased. Only one great (as long as you like beef) dish on the menu so no hastle if you don't know what to order. While there are other Brasseries around Lisbon, this one is located near Bairro Alto, an election spot for night time activities. I think it has other things on the menu but people come here to eat the steak with fries and its unique savory/dressing. Not innovative but very good. The location has a room for smokers and another one for... More

Not bad at all in fact it was probably the best restaurant I went to in the area. The problem is that it's quite expensive for what it is. Basically steak and chips with a bowl full of lettuce to start. Don't get me wrong it's nice and I would go back but I'm zur you can find better with... More

We fancied a steak on our final night in Lisbon, so trusty T/A was consulted (via a google search - it's easier to find specific matches) and two restaurants stood out - one appeared to be a bit pretentious and pricey, the other was the Brasserie. I was quite taken with their 'one dish' menu - it took me back... More

I visited here on my Visit to Lisbon (friends suggested) and it was quite the food experience. The Restaurant is not bookable so you just have to turn up and hope for the best. When we called there were a few tables available but all were occupied very quickly and there was a great atmosphere in the place. Well ...... More

All permutations of the above words are true ... there is only steak-frites. So, if you are in Lisbon and in the mood for a french bistro style entre-côte, french fries and a good bottle of wine, you will not do better than this brasserie. Wonderfully tender entre-côte, delicious mustard and pepper sauce, all you can eat juliennes. A brilliant... More

This place is amazing. The menu is so simple as you can select two types of steak with two types of salad. They have perfected these meals. We ordered the sirloin steak rare and the meat came perfectly cooked and you could cut it with a fork which I did. The steak is covered in a sauce, which has a... More

I have been a regular client of Brasserie de l'Entrecôte for years now, but it had been about 6 months that I had not visited Lisbon. To my big surprise I discovered that there is now a vegetarian option: seitan steak with the same home-made multi-ingredient sauce. Atmosphere and service as impeccable as the food... as always.

A restaurant with no choice. It has a simple menu which it does brilliantly!! No other way for then to stay in business. Believe me,,,,you've never tasted a steak sauce until you've visited this restaurant. Staff are very friendly - our waiter Miguel acted as a sommelier and helped us choose great wines at reasonable prices. Delicious food and well... More

This is what you can choose from. Don't expect anything else. But the steak is outstanding, the cut & cooking french style (not a New York strip ...) with a very tasty, homemade sauce, extremely fresh fries and a good wine recommendation from a very polite and entertaining waiter ... who did his best to make sure we will definitely...
