We dined here one evening as a party of two. This restaurant is tucked away, and when we arrived we weren't sure just where it was. Once we stepped inside, we were quickly seated and it was explained to us that a selection of starters are brought to you and you choose your main course. Our selection included fish, pork,... More

Great Portuguese/international fusion menu, good & friendly service. We had a table outside with great setting. Highly recommended.

The location is quite magical, the restaurant is set in a 17th century convent, with amazing ceilings and furniture. The service is impeccable, whilst still providing warm portuguese hospitality. There is a set menu for starters, they bring everyone at the table a selection of modern portuguese tapas, then you can order a main. We shared the monkfish which was... More

We were a large group there for a pre-Christmas celebration. They looked after us very well and dealt with various non-meating eating demands.. We started with lots of different starters which were all delicious and it was nice to taste lots of different things. The main courses were chosen from the menu and there was something for everyone, including our... More

A beautiful restaurant. The food was exceptional - tiny starters are brought to your table almost tapas-style, and you then choose main/desert. Everything we were served was delicious, and my main of venison was just exquisite. The staff were lovely and couldn't have been more attentive and the mood in the restaurant is really welcoming, nothing is too much trouble.... More

The food is good but they start by serving you some regular apetizers (without asking you if you want them) and in the end they charge you €20 per person for what they call "delicatessen". I won't go back.

If you're traveling to Lisbon then you MUST visit A Travessa. The amazing service, beautiful setting and delicious food deliver one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. I've fortunately been to A Travessa three times and it is consistently excellent.

The last time, we were here with the same friends. Unlike some reviewers, I don't have a problem paying for the 'appetizer course' which is now clearly stated on the menu....unlike in the past. What did tick me off, is that they also "offered" us oysters which we were then charged additional for. When my husband called them on this,... More

We had the best pig in all Portugal there. Besides, everything was very, very good. The place, an old convent, also deserves attention. Higly recommended!
