This place could, and should, be a lot better, and a little more honest. It has an unusual formula whereby it serves several small starters, whether you ask for them or not. Some of these (eg strips of Pork / Shellfish) would be unacceptable to many potential diners. Like others, I was cross to be charged for carafes of what... More

We are SO happy to have eaten here (and almost went back for a second meal during our three-day stay). Fun variety of starters to share at the beginning (particularly loved the mussels and the goat cheese app, though I think they change every night)--they come out dim sum style, which is also traditional Portuguese style. I had the scallops... More

This is a difficult review to write as my husband and I had the most disappointing evening we can remember having in a long time at this place. Looking at earlier Tripadvisor reviews it seems we shared a similar experience with around 10% of other reviewers so you should think carefully before coming here. Money in itself was not the... From the moment you step inside this former abby, it's a heavenly experience. The free flowing appetizers set the stage for an over the top multi-course meal with an extensive wine list. We especially enjoyed the goat cheese filled purse drizzled with honey and the seared foie gras medallions. The menu had something special for everyone in our large party... More

Booked a table the week before by telephone and had a great spot overlooking the courtyard. Waiting staff were lovely and very friendly with the children. The menu is a tasting type with a variety of beautifully presented set dishes of the day, with you having a choice of main course. We enjoyed the selection of dishes (including clams, oysters... Beautiful setting in a converted monastry. Starters were sublime, these were 6 'tasters' bought out and set daily. I am not normally one to photograph food but I couldn't resist a sneaky picture it was so beautifully presented. The mains were also delicious, as was the desert we squeezed in but the starter was definitely the highlight. The staff were... More

The restaurant is located inside a former convent and is not easy to find. I have been there in lunch and was empty. I liked the starters, mainly the segredos de porco. We didn´t like the main course. Is expensive

This is a very known Lisbon restaurant located in a beautiful monastery in one of the most charming neighborhood of the city. If I may summarise this restaurant in a single sentence, the starters. They are delicious. As for the main dishes, you will have to know what to pick some dishes are clearly on the side of over priced... More

Attentive, friendly waiting on staff. Comprehensive wine list. You can eat, drink very well in Lisbon. The setting is unique. We had dinner while watching a Punch & Judy show in the Courtyard. Not at all pretentious. Excellent Portuguese winelist. The starters at 12.50 pp are freshly made and delicious. As with most of our experiences in Lisbon the staff... More
