Very friendly, great atmosphere and amazing food!

If you don't feel like reading the entire review, let me just say that visiting this restaurant is a must for every trip to Lisbon as far as food is concerned. You won't regret it — we even had to return a second time. The staff is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is very domestic. Just make... read more

After recommendation from my friend I visited this lovely place with an authentic domestic spirit and I am sure I'll follow to recommend further. Basically, you don't have to set an order and the old one stylish garçon will set up a perfect dish by reading up your mind . . . don't argue with him, I'm sure he brought... More

Yes, an English menu might be an issue for some, but if you are open minded, do visit the restaurant. A lot of people before me already mentioned how good the food is and I agree with them. We also had the fish recommended by the waiter, some ham and melon for starter and really lovely desserts (I am a... More

We had dinner in this restaurant and we enjoyed the warm, like home atmosphere and the friendy waiter. The starters were typical portugese: jambon, cheese with toast and melon - tasty and appeared immediately after we arrived. After starters, we ordered lamb and pork, both were well cooked. The waiter was very prompt and customer oriented.

This is a horrible place, you get melon with ham without asking but of course you have to pay. And if you don't like it the owner put the melon on your plate.... The wine is really bad The meat was ok but with a load of sauce ( pepper?) You can see in the kitchen that they put the... More

I very rarely leave reviews (though I probably should do, as I rely on sites like Trip Advisor so much), but after visiting this restaurant during my friend's stag do, I was compelled to do so. It was the first night of the stag weekend, and after strolling through the vibrant streets of Bairro Alto, we happened upon Adega do... More

Could not get into a nearby highly rated restaurant so pop in and was pleasantly surprised the waiter / chef / probably owner showed us a menu but quickly discarded it and gave us his suggestions - fish and squid - took his good advice and no regrets. it was a one man show and I presume his wife was... We happen to go in with no reservations and no recommendations and it was a wonderful surprise!!! Excellent fish! Probably the best we ever had anywhere! Good friendly service and the price was very reasonable, especially considering the excellent quality of the food.

This is how I imagine typical restaurant with typical and simple portugese food. We felt like on home made dinner. Weiter was very nice and talkative. Menu is not necessary- restaurant serves only what they get that day, so you can see this in its raw form, as they bring it first to your table. I wanted sea food but... More

We decided to go to this place as it stood out on Trip Advisor with some good reviews. Tripadvisor reviews have served us very well on our week in Lisbon and this was the penultimate night. We were immediately seated inside even though the restaurant is 39th on TA and it looked nice and homely. The table was immediately loaded... More
