I first came here 14 years ago, a colleague recommended the place. I have only been here wintertime before and you had to knock on the door to be let in. Now in the summer the door was open. The place has several rooms all of them with shelves full of memoria, a lot to look at, a very relaxed... More

Just to be clear, I have not eaten here (there's a trad Portuguese restaurant just over the road which I quite like). I always have a drink here when I go to Lisbon, as I know of nowhere else like it. Sure the drinks are expensive but if you take another reviewer's advice to 'avoid' on grounds that you can... More

The quirky decor and varied drinks menu is what makes Chines bar a destination when visiting Lisbon. The bar itself is made up of several rooms all leading on/off each other and all adorned with nik naks and tidbits that will have you twisting in your seat to try and take it all in. The drinks are a little on... More

Great interior but have just been stung for 40 euros for 4 beers and two appertivos. Considering every other bar charges 2-3 euros per drink this place is an absolute rip off. Avoid!

The drinks were a little expensive but the knick-knacks that cover any flat surface are incredible and it is bigger than it first appears. Quite the experience.

What's good: - The place: the decoration is really beautiful - The teas: having a good cup of tea in Lisbon is extremely difficult, but this place has some nice blends. What's bad: - The service: there is no care for the costumer - The price: waaaaaay to high!

We would recommend a visit to this bar for the fantastic array of artifacts and toys on display in the cabinets surrounding you. Drink prices are reasonable and there is a wide range of cocktails available in a large menu type book. As stated the staff are sullen at best, service is ok but also not very quick. I don't... More

As other reviewers stated, the place is crammed, floor to ceiling, with all kinds of artifacts, going from dolls to helmets to posters from WW1 or 2. Quiet atmosphere, various rooms and decors, and there is one room where people were allowed to smoke. The menu is more of a book than a menu; it's so extensive ! Of course,... More

This is a fascinating bar. as soon as you walked in the door, you'll be amazed by the artifacts, old toys and collections of Memorabilia in the huge wall cabinets. Its so impressive. Drinks prices are reasonable and there's a mouth-watering array of cocktails available. An earlier reviewer remarked on feeling a 'tad intimidated' by the waiters..and I can fully... More

We went in for cocktails, and when greeted by suited waiters felt a tad intimidated, but then we looked around and the piles of novelty clutter adorning the wall cabinets and knew we wanted to stay, As the night went on we went out back to play some pool, and by the time we left the place was heaving. Really... More
