A choose-your-own-adventure wine tour that works like this: an expert sommelier first tests your preference with three wines. Choose your favourite, order a glass. Your decision helps her to choose the next panel of samples, and so on. Simply a brilliant idea. They'll tell you at least nine times (during the booking process and at the restaurant) that THEY DO... More

I had booked this bar about 6 weeks in advance due to the wonderful reviews on here and I was not disappointed! Upon entering the establishment, we realised that our reserved table was the last spare table in this place - so remember, booking is essential! We visited here as part of my boyfriend's 30th celebrations and the staff at... More

So glad that we reserved our table well in advance. All 16 spaces were filled with happy diners exploring the growing complexity of Portugese wine. Given the California-comparable climate, there is so much potential. Each of us sampled up to six possibilities and settled on a glass that complemented our individual tastes and the platter of eight cheeses and as... More

This is a very unassuming small restaurant, walking distance from the centre, with great atmosphere, superb wines and traditional snacks. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and provide a great service. We chose two different glasses of white and two of red (as my husband) and ate a big platter of cheese, ham, sausages and sardines, plus bread, olives and... More

We had a table booked here for a Friday evening. We had already eaten before as we were aware that it was not a restaurant so I can't tell you about any of the food, but the wine and the service was fantastic. You are presented with a menu with a map of the different Portuguese wine regions, and on... More

We made a reservation for a particular night then at the last minute weren't able to go. The wine bar were very accommodating and understanding and happily booked us for the following night. The wine bar as others have said is very small and can probably hold about 14-16 at a push but this makes it cosy. The staff are... More

We stumbled in here without a reservation during a terrible rain storm. At first the owner apologized, saying the restaurant was fully booked and he could not accommodate us. When asked if we could take a moment to collect ourselves out of the rain and figure out our next move, the owner smiled broadly and said "of course, please take... More

Absolutely recommended. Limited -but very good - food, to accompany the wine. Your personal waiter knows all the wines and lead you through tasting to your favorites. Only problem: couldn't eat/drink more. Will come back next time in lissabon.. Nb: book table as the place is very small !

We spent an enjoyable evening in this small wine bar which has an excellent choice of Portuguese wines by the glass or bottle. The very friendly staff helped us with our wine choices and made sure that we were well looked after. We had a delicious plate of cold meats and cheeses and some excellent hot sausages to accompany our... More

We were tonight, first of all someone put wrong location of bar on trip advisor do we almost didnt find it. Forget "navigate me" function. The bar is small (6 tables). The vines, food and staff were good. But at the end of dinner, we got not regular bill, only with numbers and corected by hand. Every item raised: chesse... More

BA is indeed a very small place and we know exactly who was here last night, table by table. About the location: some say wrong, but other devices show right. The "someone" is not us. Anyway, in such a short street, with the door number on the internet, it shouldn't be a problem, should it? Still, this issue was already... More
