Really enjoyable experience

Firstly the service was great.. advice on the food and wine was a nice touch, gave us just the perfect amount of attention. . Took a glass of wine off the bill to apologise for waiting time on the food, neither my partner or I noticed any unusual waiting time!! Lots of locals were in eating, we... read more

Very unassuming place which serves traditional food which is extremely tasty (even if not the most appropriate for those on a diet :) ) Very good value for money with excellent service. Overall = 8/10

I walked to the restaurant from Chiado area where I was staying. The walk was interesting and had a great glimpse of local life, but started to feel that I was lost as not many restaurants around, but google map got me there correctly. They are just there stand alone. Tiny space and saw a couple and a young man... More

A small, and very welcoming neighborhood restaurant. Feels like you're visiting with a good friend. Both food and service are exceptional. Husband and wife owners are completely accomadating.

We had our first dinner in Lisbon at this restaurant. The lady was polite and service was good. However, the food wasn't all exactly to our liking, though we finished all out of courtesy. Garlic shrimp and goat cheese were not bad. We won't return but to be fair, it's mainly because my husband and I are not exactly into... More

It's so popular that i have to come back twice to get a table even in December when is usually a slower season for them. I just by myself and decided to try all main seafood diahes. So i ordered garlic shrimp, octopus, and cod pankcake. Every dish was so delicious. You can tell the chef put a lot of... More

Staying in Principe Real

Neighborhood Profile
Principe Real
From the splendid garden and its cafe-kiosk to its restaurants, Príncipe Real is more than worthy of a visit and it won't let you down: its attractions include "Pavilhão Chinês" (one of the more eccentric interior designs you'll ever see), museums and a fantastic botanical garden. It's also a commercial neighborhood, and you can visit a renovated Palace, home of the Embaixada (embassy) trendy shopping center with its cafes, art galleries and luxury shops... and even if you don't buy anything, take a look inside just for its marvellous interiors. On top of this, Príncipe Real offers a variety of places to eat: if you're in a hurry, drop by "Pizza a Pezzi"; and if you're not, taste the delicious Honorato hamburgers, Argentinian cuisine at La Paparrucha and also great, delicious Portuguese food at Tascardoso!
