Gorgeous Goan food

It took some persuading to get my partner to try this as we stood outside, it looks more like a small cafe with ice cream adverts outside - but we're so glad we went it! In the back there is a small restaurant, the menu was simple with only a few options but everything we had was superb. I had... read more

We were in Portugal last month and stopped at Zuari for lunch. Wonderful experience! The decor and homely atmosphere took me right back to my childhood in Goa, as did the terrific food. The hosts were great, and we were particularly impressed to see the entire family pitch in - including teenage kids returning from their classes at the university... More

It is really lovely. For starters we had samosas, kachoris, papadom. As main course we had chicken curry and vindaloo with rice and some chapatis. And we... More

This was our second visit to this restaurant and it was just as good as the first time. It's a tiny place, simply decorated and seems to be very much a family concern. The food is delicious and tastes very homemade and authentic. The stand out dish for me is the chicken curry, which is the best I have tasted... More

I was almost put off by the neighborhood but I'm really glad I came here. We were looking for some Goan food and were very, very pleased. It's not exactly central with regard to downtown or Belem, but there are bus stops right at the corner or you can walk as we did. It's well worth it. We apparently eat... More

When my husband and I stumbled across this hidden gem, we were exhausted and not particularly hungry. In truth, we thought that we had entered a Portuguese restaurant and that we would have a light snack of cheese, bread and olives. Were we surprised when we realized that we were in an Indian establishment! Since it was our first visit... More

I cannot see why anyone would write a negative review of this restaurant. Quite simply it is a small family run business, Orlando Rodriguez the owner is a charming man who took time to describe the elements of the dishes on the menu. We had the samosa starters with homemade lime pickle - delicious - main courses of chicken and... More
