Affordable and delicious goan food in Lisbon

I wanted to taste Goan food as I love Indian food. I went there for lunch and it was delicious, spicy but not too much. The sarpatel and the bebinca, typically Goan, were very good. It's a no fuss place and very affordable! Had a chat with the lady who was cooking and her daughter, they were very... read more

On tasting the food, one would immediately know when the taste of otherwise home cooked Goan food is completely off in a commercially run restaurant such as this one. The Senior folk running this place are of Goan origin, but along the way have the lost the passion of keeping it authentic. The stuff like Samosas and Kachoris are Indian... More

I went last night with my partner. We ordered 1 samosa each, which we where told where the best samosas in Lisbon... They where hot and crispy and fresh! So good that we had to order 1 more each! Not only where they the best in Lisbon, but probably the best I've had! The curry was very good! I ordered... More

My partner and I were staying nearby and decided to check it out. It turned out to be possibly the best eating experience we had in Lisbon. Everything was cooked fresh (you can hear the frying pan) and tasted excellent. The samoas were some of the best I have had, they were delicately flavoured with coriander and came out hot... More

Delicious, authentic Goan food (I am half Goan and spent my summer holidays there so really, I do know authentic when I see it). Highly recommend the kachori (although this isn't a Goan dish - was still delicious!), the prawn curry and the fish curry (the one in red chilli paste). The service was excellent - friendly and attentive but... More

Nice, friendly owner. Good service. Menu was very limited with hardly any accompaniments/sauces/chutney's, etc. Ambience? OK Food.

I was expecting more after some reviews and after some years without eating Goa food. Maybe I'll stick to Indian for some more time...

It took some persuading to get my partner to try this as we stood outside, it looks more like a small cafe with ice cream adverts outside - but we're so glad we went it! In the back there is a small restaurant, the menu was simple with only a few options but everything we had was superb. I had... More
