Don't let the name mislead you - Portuguese grilled food

We came across this unusually named restaurant while shopping in the Chaido. Don't be put off by the name - they serve grilled meats and seafood and you can see the grill in the window facing the street. It is populated by locals as well as those of use who see the trip advisor sticker. What sealed... read more

This place was filled with locals and everyone here seemed very friendly. Food was just about ok. I would recommend to just go with the grilled seafood

Small, quaint joint. Nothing fancy, just good, traditional Portuguese food. Frequented by locals and tourists alike.

Place where the locals eat, that's why we came. Big portions, "media dose" is more than enough. Meats and fishes aprox. 9 euros so very inexpensive. Extremely busy and chaotic (quieing for 10-15 min, no estimated time or "line") on a saturday night. This is not an indian restaurant but portuguese. As a tourist would not come again if just... We were there after a long tour just out of the city, at the magical Marques de Pombal's villa. it was quite crowded, but the service was very fast and smily. Several types of meat to taste, but also great variety of delicious side dishes. Let's try the 1€ fish soup as appetizer!! Typical taste, special warming during the winter..... More

We went there with some friends on Saturday night. The place was full and there was a great atmosphere from locals and some tourists who were "in the know". The food was very simple but excellent ingredients and very well cooked. Vinho Verde by the carafe was good and service was fast and friendly. Judging by what I could see... More

Nice place to try some portuguese food for a nice price. The bitoque is really good. Beers and wine as well. If you want to have a great portuguese experience, you have to check it out

What a great find ... Loved this place. It was full & bustling with locals ... Just the sort of place we like to eat at ... Not a tourist trap. Service was great & welcoming ... We had prawns (gambos) & chicken, beer & Mateus Rose. Would go back again & again.

I've lived in Bairro Alto my whole life, and remember coming here as a kid with my cousins to order take out of "Frango com Piri-Piri" or Chicken Piri-Piri, which Nando's doesn't hold a candle to. When dining in ask for the Piri-piri,when ordering it, occasionally it comes in the stock gravy or they bring it as an oil if... More

Loved this place. So much we went back. Fantastic food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Big queues in evenings. A great find.
