Surprising find

We were walking the streets of Lisbon and came upon this modern-looking restaurant and bar constructed in an old convent. The setting was beautiful and even though empty we took the chance and loved it! We had a couple of drinks first and then some small dishes with a glass of wine. Everything was... read more

First time in Lissabon and trying to find a decent restaurant. Walked into Barrio Alto and found it overcrowded and full of dirt. Escaped it by finding this great restaurant with tripadvisor. Experience was even better than rated. Really good starters (octopus salad, cured ham) and very tasty main courses (shrimps, steak). Tasted absolute fabulous wine. Remarks ? Yes, acoustic... More

I enjoyed a delicious meal and wonderful wine. The service was very attentive and the staff very pleasant. Highly recommended.

Food was too salty (some of the portions went back and waiter confirmed it was awful) and service was as bad as it can get. Don't understand positive ratings because this didn't happen by chance. Restaurant is very bad.

Four of us dined at this restauant and each of us loved our main course. Shrimp fricassee, tiger prawns, cod and clams we all loved what we had and would have eaten the others as well. The bottle wine was recommended it was excellent and reasonable. The chocolate cake dessert we were told was the best in the world and... More

My husband and I stumbled across this place in a Friday evening, and had an absolutely superb meal. The service could not have been friendlier. We enjoyed the street view from our window seat, and would very happily return.

The place itself has amazing history and original details and the original "Muralha Fernandina" which runs through the middle ceiling of the restaurant. Bathrooms super clean. Food ok...husband is a chef de cuisine so he was not impressed. Best part of meal: soups. AND...Bife a la Portuguesa..you can't go wrong with that. All else a bit bland, and without much... More

The place itself is beautiful, the old ceillings and walls decorated with tiles make it look very portuguese. The service was good and the staff was nice. The food however didn't impress me much. I had pork cheeks with portuguese migas, then the carob cake and none of it made a big impression. We had a good time but I... More

Disappointing experience. The food is very very salty, we were still thirsty 24 hours later. Our waitress seemed distracted and service was slow. Food also overpriced. The setting is nice in an old convent.

More than 45 min waiting for the starters and we had to leave without even trying any food. Frustrating to look around and see that all the rest of the clients were on the same situation just eating bread. I can understand they were blocked out, but they should advice their clients or do not accept more tables.
