Wonderful fado

Singers are fabolous and emotional. The food is good, I suggest bacalhao sr vinho. If you want to have dinner and music, this is the right place! It is a little bit expensive compared to the average in Lisbon but you enjoy fado

Very few non-portuguese tourists on the night we went (our group was 3 adults and one child). The food is excellent traditional quality Portuguese food in a classical tone. A bit old-fashioned service from the past and at time forgetful of requests! The 4 young female signers that relayed each other during the night (between each of meal courses) we... More

My family elected this restaurant as the best Fado restaurant. Me, too. It is for adults or couples. Not good for children. Also, it is to spend hours having dinner with family/friends, enjoying the wine, food and music. Very romantic.

We visited this partly to hear the nightly Fado music. There was a small Fado ensemble of guitars and 4 singers took it in turns to sing. We understand this the restaurant where Ana Moura started. The atmosphere was fantastic and all the music was brilliant with some really intense performances. The food was very good although a minor criticism... More

We asked a cab driver where was there a good Fado restaurant. He recommended Sr Vinho. When I asked the hotel to make reservations, they too said is was good. We went at 8:00 and the first set was at 9:30. The food was very good and we enjoyed the evening immensely. With dinner, wine, dessert, and the show, the... More

We were so looking forward to fado, and the singers were good, BUT they were competing with bad food and lacklustre service. The BAD really outweighed the good at this place. If you are like us, then you're probably thinking that you can put up with bad food and service and atmosphere for good fado, think again....do yourself a favour... More

One of the best meals we had in Lisbon was here. The service was very good and attentive and the food and fado were fab.

We were looking for a fado restaurant to complete our Lisboan experience and this place was recommended. it is obviously well known and the Uber drivers who took us here seemed to know it and gave it a thumbs up. It is in Chiado and tucked away on a small side street. We at first thought we had made the... More

We visited Sr Vinho last night and really enjoyed the ambience and the music. The room is lovely and intimate, the music performed in the center. We had a good table and the staff were friendly and attentive. We stayed for three sets and all of the performers were excellent. The downside was the food which was not very good... More

We were taken here by our Lisbon friends, as it is their favorite place to hear relatively unknown Fado singers. The service, ambiance, and food feel traditional, and the Fado singing was heart-felt and moving. The owner, apparently a Fado singer in her day, was there the evening we were there, and interacted with all four who sang - a... More
