Finally decided to try Portugal's famed grilled sardines here. The dish was over-rated. Lacked flavour. Maybe it didn't suit my palate even though i am a big fish-eater. The salad was average. Service was prompt but you can't walk outside the restaurant without being hounded by the staff.

Besides of delicious cakes and pastries of every king and shapes Brazilian style and others, this place is known for bola de crane witch is a round bread filled with the best assortment of metates and presunto between the layers of dough, one can make a very good meal out of it with anyone of the good wines of Portugal. Visited Lisbon for a short break of 5 days and as we were staying in a Hotel without breakfast, this is the place we visited each morning for a little coffee and pastry. There were around 40 different pastries, cakes and fruit to choose from as well as coffees, fresh juices, wine and Port. You could also have a toastie... More

Visited here for Coffee and Brandy on the first night of our stay in a Lisbon. Great location, with vibrant atmosphere. The staff were very busy, so the service was average. Coffee and Brandy good. Revisited the next night for a meal. We were ushered downstairs to a dark and dismal overspill restaurant, where we were served very average food. The... More

The place is not for lunch, but for a cup of coffee, a cup of porto and something sweet. Just order by the counter, observe other people going in and out, drink and go! The place is open until 1 a.m.

Our first day in Lisbon was a very warm sunday, therefore, after a walk in the center of the city we decided to eat something fresh and to rest somewhere. It happened that we found this place with an amazing window that attracted us. Unfortunately we decided to seat down. We ordered some sardinhas an 2 fruit salads. As we... More

Waitress forgot our order twice. Lovely interior but far too expensive and toilets were filthy. As my Mum (a former hotel manager) always says you can judge a place well on its toilets!

Food is OK without being extraordinary, while prices are ridiculously high for Portugal. And the service is the worst I have seen since in four months in Portugal... The staffs is rude and throw the food at you like if you were a dog. Avoid.

We ate here because the paella looked so good. We were not disappointed. We had 3 different types. Nice leisurely pace, you are seated outside watching the world go by. Decent wine decent service.

I work near and frequently go into Casa Brasileira for a quick snack. Usually I'll order at the counter and just have my coffee or snack right there, but have also sat in the terrace quite a few times. Snacks (typical Portuguese-style ones, as well as sandwiches and the like) and juices are quite delicious, and service fantastic (quick and... More
