I only drink espresso and 80% of coffee in lisbon is terrible, some are not bad but at casa brasileira it's the best one and only 60 cents.

Stopped by because we have seen it in many guides. The place is very authentic with wooden panels and decorated from the 19th century. The place is great, our mistake was to order something to eat since it was breakfast and we were hungry. The meat in the steak sandwich was so chewy that it could only be eaten with... More

Lovely place to grab a snack and beer or beverage of your choice. Friendlier staff then the others in Praca Do Commercio eatery we went to for a coffee. Try it out, it's nice. If you have missed breakfast then go here. The Pastel De Bacachan was good.

We came across this place almost by accident (although it's a big cafe on a main road in the city center, so you can't really "stumble" across it so much as choose to go in without having planned to). Anyway, I had never had a Pasteis de Nata before, and let me just tell you that I ate an unhealthy... More

Visited during early October 2013 and sat outside on both occasions, once in pouring rain, but with big overhead parasols, we were perfectly dry. We came across the Pastelaria Casa Brasileria by accident. We passed by and were lured to try by the wonderful smell and opulent window displays full of the most delicious looking pastries. We had savoury rolls... More

Very centrally located pastelaria with a huge selection of delicious pastries. Best to stand at the bar, since prices are different once you sit down.

We went twice to this restaurant for breakfast - the first time we stood inside had a great breakfast all very fresh etc so decided to go again on Saturday and as we had more time sat outside in the sun. Our experience was very different - the waiter was harassed and rude , the food not great my fruit... More

Review from a Lisbon-born & now part-time local: the Pasteis de Nata (custard tarts) are the VERY BEST in Lisbon (even better than the classic in Belem) & the beer is always ice-cold! Ordering & eating at the counter inside is cheaper but the table service, while a little more expensive, is generally pretty good (staff is rushed but friendly)... More

We ate these every day while in Portugal, while these particular delights weren't quite the best we had while here, they were pretty damn good. We recommend popping past this place for a mid-morning pick me up while roaming the streets.

Nice place in the busy Rua Agusta to sit have a coffee and one the many fantastic pastries or pasties they sell and watch the world go bye. Inside maybe cheaper but you miss the music coming from a nearby shop selling fado so you are treated to a nice outdoor concert as well. The only down side is being... More
