I lived in Lisbon for one year. Without any doubt the best bacalhau you can eat at the right price (never spent more than 15 euros each eating several types of bacalhau, desserts and ginja in the end). The woman who owns the place loves foreigners (especially Italians), nonetheless she speaks only portuguese, but that is not a problem. The... More

It's a very small restaurant, where you'd better book to get a table. We got lost a bit in Alfama trying to get there (there are many streets around named alike), so remember it's facing the tram rails. The atmosphere is good, the fish is really great. I would echo previous posters and make a reservation in advance as the place is tiny but it... More

Very friendly ladies that also entertained our son while we were eating. Prices are cheap compared to the quality you get.

With only 4 or 5 tables, making a reservation is a great idea - ask someone to help if you don't speak Portuguese as Natercia (I think that's the name of the woman who owns the restaurant) doesn't speak English...but boy, can she cook! Not only is... More

If you come to Lisbon don't miss this place but be carefull to book a few days in advance, the woman is facing celebrity ! :) She's reaaaly nice and will make you the best homemade "Bacalhau" ever. Ask for the Bacalhau con Natas.
