We stayed at the nearby Britania Hotel and ate here 3 times because it was excellent . Good value for money food and wine , very busy and buzzy . The staff were good fun and helpful . It is a very relaxed nice restaurant .

Similar to the other reviews, we had an excellent tapas meal at this portugese restaurant. We, in fact, ate there twice during our trip to Portugal. Once upon arrival in Portugal and when we came back to Lisbon 15 days later. Decor, ambiance and service were top-notch. Making the experience more enjoyable was the interaction we had with our waiter... More

We went to Rubro for some tapas on a Friday night and were completely satisfied. Excellent service, perfect atmosphere and a wide selection of Portuguese wines. It is well located and the prices are reasonably for the quality of food. I would recommend it to anybody coming to Lisbon and would definitely go back.

Our first night in Lisbon, and this was literally just a two minute walk from our hotel, which is welcome when you have arrived somewhere unfamiliar. There is a wide-ranging menu providing delicious food, cooked in full view of the customers. We thought we might have overordered when it arrived, but we ate the lot! The staff were helpful, the... This was close to our hotel but what a great recommendation. Great ambience which had attracted me prior to our hotel recommendation. Food was excellent large portions but very tasty, Miguel was full of charisma which we enjoyed, shared tables in some parts but fun talking with our French neighbours..great value, inexpensive by Aussie standards!!!

We ate here having been recommended by Hotel Britania (I suspect along with many other TA users). We were greeted at the door and shown to our table. Lively atmosphere in the restaurant and attentive and friendly staff. We sampled a few different wines by the glass and had a small number of tapas. The portions were quite large (especially... More

I have visited this restaurant and its partner at the Campo Pequena on several occasions and recommended it to business contacts. Never again . Today's experience was such a sharp disappointment that it has driven previous visits from mind. On this occasion we seemed to be the only non-Portuguese present and were effectively ignored ; we were left waiting repeatedly... More

A bread and olive oil cover began the meal, a bit boring but not bad. As is the norm with tapas, the dishes arrived as they were cooked, unfortunately this meant we were left with nothing but asparagus for a while and as well seasoned and cooked as it was, it was still just asparagus, on it's own...not a great... Eight of us ate here on our last night in Portugal, after having a number of excellent meals in Lisbon and Lagos. We agreed that this was on par with what was overall a great week of eating. The space is very interesting and relaxing, the service was great, the food was very well prepared, with something for everyone, and... More
