Located in the heart of Lisbon, in a mandatory visit neighborhood as the Bairro Alto, just a few meters away from Chiado, you find in this Wine House a committed team in a relaxed, family atmosphere, accompanied by live music that animates every night. Between the passion for wines of Antonio Baeta and the passion for cuisine of Silvia Mendes, we get the alchemical mixture of two key ingredients that make the success of this house. On the one hand, more than 1000 national references between white, red, green, sparkling and fortified wine, where the vast majority can be tasted by glass, or even taken home bottled, on the other hand, a continuous search for the best Portuguese delicacies turned into simple dishes, but with great flavor, from cheese and sausages boards with homemade jams, to mussels or scallops gratinated, seared canned tuna, or even cod or octopus in the oven. Upstairs this XVIII century building, fully redone, you can find a room for the night in a cozy environment. Six bedrooms, some with private bathroom, a mixed dormitory, a common living room, a common kitchen where breakfasts are served or where you can cook your own food and an outdoor patio, make of this Hostel a selected place for those who like to enjoy the night of Bairro Alto, and want to stick around. Enjoy every moment of the two spaces in a relaxed way and with quality. Wine House Open every day from 12h00 to 24h00.

We came here on a food and wine tour, and we were so happy. We decided to come back again for lunch. We ordered a cheeseboard with ham and it was fabulous. We stopped here as part of a gourmet food and wine tour and were sorry to leave. A member of staff gave us a talk on the wine we were sampling and was very informative. Cheese and ham nibbles were served and were absolutely delicious. This place is not the easiest to find but is well worth making the effort.

This bar/ restaurant was recommended by friends who had really enjoyed it. We got there quite late after dining and wanted to have a last drink before heading back to the hotel. We tried several times to attract the attention of a waiter and eventually someone who seemed to be the manager came over and told us they were closing... More

We had the surprise menu for 2 people as we couldn't choose from the extensive menu. It didn't disappoint. It was a good mix from all the menu, tasty and had a nice twist. The best part of this restaurant though is the staff. They are incredibly knowledgable about the hundreds of wines they sell by the glass and bottle... More

amazing food, even better wine en superb service. However, what sets this restaurant apart is the vibe. The combination of the interior together with the music being played by the artist makes this a excellent choice.

Great time. I liked the idea of live music but this evening was a bit too much. Food is delicious we had the surprise menu with recommended vinho verde. Wow nice tasting of portuguese food and we were surprised that even dessert was included

Lovely bar and atmosphere, very busy with live music. Food was nice but not if you are looking for a hearty meal, the fish dishes were more substantial. Wide selection of wines available, but didn't have the beer selection available to what it said on the menu. Also Bread, butter, olives and pesto put on the table when you arrive but... More
