amazing services, I've been served buy a waiter called Alex, very entertaining guy :) amazing+ seafood (try the seafood with rice or the seafood cataplana) very good wines!

We enjoyed the cod and I finally got to have pork with clams and it was good but not superb. The wine was very good for the price and so were the starters, especially the shrimp/cream soup. We spent about 30 euros, ate well, and enjoyed the people who were in this crowded local hole-in-the-wall.

Delicious food and great service. Loved the cockles and the shrimp soup. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.

An authentic Portuguese restaurant with excellent food, superb service ( thanks Alex) and a very reasonable price (50 Euro for two with wine and coffee). If you are close to the Castle you must visit here.

we stumbled across Alpendre on our walk down from the castle on the hill. It was an excellent find. Great dinner at the Alpendre last night,,,,mussels with tomato and onion sauce, American salad, gorgeous seafood with rice and finally a glorious chocolate mousse and wonderful homemade flan, accompanied by a good chilled dry white wine.....44€ for the two of us and enormous helpings to boot. Warm, unpretentious atmosphere and service,,,,eminently recommendable,
