A piece of Mexico!

A couple of hours holiday is what it is! It's busy, in an industrial sort of river front with average quality food, but the portions are enormous, the price very reasonable, the service fast and the selection is varied. But all this is not the thing: Everybody go here to get away for an hour or... read more

I'd already been in Siesta some four years ago. If the food was not memorable, I'd kept a feeling of an overpriced restaurant. Monday evening and the place was full by 9PM - always a good sign. The view over the river makes a very nice setting for a dinner out with friends (architecture geeks, that's Gonçalo Byrne's beautiful leaning... More

Took forever to bring the food. Everything tasted like supermarket Mexican food. When we ordered the desert (which was part of the menu), the waiter didn't care to let us know they didn't have that desert at the moment and left us waiting for more than 15min until finally deciding to inform us of what was happening. Lastly, we had... More

Good: Nice view of the river, fun decor Bad: Some of the slowest service in Portugal - i.e. 2.5 hours for lunch service on a Tuesday., Food is not really Mexican - it's a bad, tasteless version of Tex-Mex (FYI - pico de gallo is not salsa, it is pico de gallo & they need a refresher on what actually... Had to wait 30minutes for the heat up my kid food. When the qeso arrived. It was just hot melted cheese like pizza cheese... no qeso! And I'm still waiting for my food almost an hour. Too pricey. Slow service. Never again!

Went to this restaurant with a group of people for lunch, even with the selection of the day menu our food took 30 min to arrive after all finished the starters ... really strange and bad service. Food is ok. view is brilliant! the value for money is ok (just that you shouldn't wait so long for them.

Went for a meal with a group of friends and I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say none of the meals were any good. Bland, small portions, cold, overpriced. The service was equally bad in every sense. Avoid at all costs!!!!

The margaritas will make you want to come back. And if you like sweets, some desserts will be remembered in your mind. The food offers a good selection and are a good justification to drink another margarita while you wait for the dessert. If you are on a diet, simply skip the main dish and enjoy the calories from the... More

Just came to have dinner at La Siesta, by the river. Just young people serving, very polite and simple, always smilling. Fantastic. Now, the food: why do one have to invent and try to give a fancy look to what is simple? A taco, is a taco...a burrito, a burrito...theres no need to invent sauces, melted cheese on top and... More

With a wonderful view this is the right spot for a Mexican meal, the Margueritas are truly amazing and the right choice to start your experience. A must go !
