This place came recommended in the lonely planet. We tried to visit on Sunday but it was closed but we're keen enough to try again. The restaurant has a good position on a corner plot. It was full, despite this being a Monday in January. We did not bother with a starter as in Lisbon you generally are given a... More

I traveled solo which can get awkward at lunch- and dinnertime. Because of the recommendation in my guidebook I found this place. It's small so when I entered and saw it was empty it felt even more awkward to leave. So I sat down and ordered a sea bass. With a small salad and a soft drink. While I waited... More

Compared to all of the other touristy restaurants in the core of the city, this restaurant is above-average. The food was good and the service was much friendlier than expected. Menu consists of the standard regional items. I would recommend to those looking for a good meal that won't break your budget.

We found this place by chance on our first night in Lisbon. The meal we had was outstanding. The dishes they serve are simple but cooked to perfection and the quality was truly brilliant. After trying many other restaurants in Lisbon this was by far the best that we tried. We decided to have our last dinner before we flew... More

The hardest working staff I've ever seen. There's no hanging about here. It's not fine dining by any stretch of the imagination but the feeding of a constant stream of locals and visitors. A real experience.

On our last day in Lisbon we came across this small restaurant which serves local dishes with locally sourced ingredients. We both had 'knife & fork' steak which is cooked with a sauce of coffee, cream and port. It's served with thin French fries all home made. We chose to share a salad with it. For desert we had home...
