Myself and my partner are far from being knowledgeable wine lovers, but the guy here was so observant and understanding that he made our beautiful experience.

While it was ok it's potentially expensive. They are very good in that they ask you what sort of wine you like and what your price range is but the wine really starts at €20 a bottle and goes up to over €100. The wine we had (€20-25) was excellent, the Man was knowledgeable and friendly and it was fun.... More

Turned up at 9pm on a Friday night (website states open til 10pm and walk-ins welcome), and despite three other tables full of customers, we were turned away on the basis of "we like to spend time talking with our customers". We said we were just in for a drink and that their website said til 10pm but they were... More

We booked a table (recommended) based on reviews here and absolutely loved it. Friendly, knowledgable staff and (of course) absolutely amazing wines. We spent around €80 including 3 wines, charcuterie, cheeses, olives/bread and the tip - plus loads of wines to sample before choosing. More expensive than other spots in Lisbon but worth every penny. Not only a great meal... More

We stumbled on this place while walking down from the castle just after sunset. We dropped in for a glass of wine and were treated to their wonderful service. Sample three whites, then choose one to have a full glass. Ditto with reds. Hungry? Out come the bread, olives, cheeses, chorizo, other salamis. All served by friendly, knowledgeable people. Who... Love, love, love this wine bar! They are knowledgeable, friendly, generous, and passionate. The wine is plentiful and the meat/cheese plate is perfect. One of my best memories in Lisbon!

If you like excellent service, delicious port and the sort of cheese you eat with a spoon then this is the place for you. If not then frankly I worry about you. Staff take the time to explain the different ports and cheeses and let you have some tasters before deciding which to have a glass of - and they'll... More

We stumbled across the Wine Bar do Castelo after leaving the castle and a hour and half later continued with our journey. You are able to taste wines then choose what you want. We shared a couple of glasses of sherry with cheese, bread and olives. The wine we chose was excellent and the gentleman serving made us very welcome... More

We enjoyed this place a lot, good food to accompany the great wines and ports. We sat next to a small cabinet with a lot of very old bottles of ports and the staff explained a lot about the different wines we tasted. The passion for wine is really in the air!
