Wine for days

After visiting the castle, we decided to take a break and have a couple glasses of wine and order the bread with olive oil and jam plate. We were the only customers at the time so it was pretty laid back. For all the restaurants that charge for bread in Europe (not in the US) it was palatable... read more

Great place near the castle. Huge selection of wines from the whole Portugal. Waiters are plenty of suggestions which is better to follow to not get lost into the wine list. Cheese and charcuterie tables good even if a little bit expensive.

The staff helped us pick our wines, however his sense of humor took some time for us to get used to. The cold cuts, cheese and olives that we ordered were all pretty good. A bit pricey though

The owner, who has amazing English, was so friendly and made us feel welcome, even though we were the only customers and he was in the middle of sorting a delivery. We are by no means experts, but we were given 3 wines to try. They were all lovely. It was a lovely experience, and if you are near the... More

Read about it on Tripadvisor. It was brilliant. Not a big wine fan, but the waiter guided us through it in a great way. We tasted the wines and made our choice and had a bite to eat also. Very nice cheeses and relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed it and only payed about 10 euros each for a glass of... More

Excellent service. Diogo has exceptional knowledge of local wines. Cozy atmosphere. Recommended: Queijo seia gourmet and queijo de serpa (types of local cheese)

Intimate and relaxed venue for a little wine tasting and meat/cheese boards. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who are patient with tourist visitors. Great food, excellent local wines.

Wonderful wine bar! A great selection of wines and you get excellent advice based on what type of wine you like. We also had bread with it, which is served with a variety of olive oils and jam: delicious. Nice location, cozy setting and very friendly waiters.

We hunted this place out after reading about it in a guide book. Located down a back street in the shade of the castle this little wine bar is a stop not to be missed. The bartender was very helpful with selection and knowledgeable on the extensive wine they stock. He asked our preferences on taste and talked us through... More
