we decided to have a break here and try some Portuguese wine.Very good wines, and delicious food for a sneak. The staff was very welcoming, very nice and fun to talk to. They let us try different kind of wines before choosing one.

I had a very nice visit here with a tour by Paolo of LisbonExplorer. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable. They demonstrated how the shape and size of the glass could change the taste of port and were so proud to show off the varieties they carry and share the background of each. The place was busy but the owners... More

We visited this cosy wine bar on a Thursday night and were not disappointed. We were 6 people but managed to get a table right away. A great selection of wines, outstanding service and delicious tapas! We ended up staying for 4 hours since the atmosphere was so great :) If you like wines and tapas, this is simply a... More

We found this beautiful wine bar while we were browsing the city and we had a great experience. The staff is qualified and friendly, it is sufficient to inform the waiter about your preferences, the price range and he will come to the table with few wines to taste in order to do the right choice. We also ordered a... More

If you're interested in learning about Portuguese wines during your stay in Lisbon, definitely make a trip to Wine Bar do Castelo. The staff is so warm and knowledgable, they really make an effort to find out what you are looking for in a wine or a port and they certainly hit the mark with what they serve! This isn't... More

We went twice. Really enjoyed tasting whites on one night then reds the next. The accompanying olives bread and cheeses were great. Simple, fun, interesting way to have a light dinner or aperitif and enjoy local produce.

We walked by on our way to the castle and, since it looked like the type of place for us, we stopped in afterwards. So glad we did! My wife tried a few different wines and I tried a few ports. We both ended up with a great glass - as well as large plate of really good - and... More

One of the best places to go, and to go back, if one is in the mood for a qualified introduction to what Portuguese wines might really be. The locale is relatively small and simply furnished -- a handful of tables and a bar. This is not a restaurant! However, they serve charcuterie and cheeses of excellent quality to go... More

Really great moment! The waiter advised us according to our taste. We can taste different wine before to choose ! Goods Portuguese wines to enjoy with some local charcuteries and cheese for a reasonable price!

We went in on a whim while passing by the castle and asked for a port wine flight. They explained a lot about the wines being served and were able to give us some more specific recommendations for our 2nd (and 3rd) glasses based on what we liked each time. I'm glad that their "flight" had a good variety and... More
