You’ve arrived by train, ship, plane or car. You’ve parked or disembarked and found your way to the Comercio Square on the waterfront, walked around the nearby streets and gotten yourself onto a crowded tram for the ride up to the Castle of Saint George, which can be seen up on the hill from nearly anywhere in the city. You’ve... More

This is probably the right place at the right moment to eat and drink something in Lisbonne, especially if you just have visited the Castel. A charming little restaurant very nice and pleasant place. Very good food (only portuguese tapas, fishes and cheeses) and beverage. For portuguese wine, if you like red ones just try the "mimosa" you will remember... More

This is warning, this can't even be called a resturant. We tried this after good reviews on tripadviser and I don't even were to start to describe this place. It is small and romantic place and the wine recomondation were good. The terrible part where the food and the service. The waiter was more busy with his computer than with... More

On my first evening in Lisbon, I could not think of anything more perfect than to escape the late-afternoon sun of the Castelo de São Jorge and stumble upon the gorgeous, hole-in-the-wall Tradiçao do Vinho. André was the perfect host, welcoming a weary, solo traveller such as myself with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality, going on to show me around his... More

We wanted to give my mum a present for her 50th birthday. Since she had already planned a trip to Lisbon with my dad, a romantic dinner seemed a good idea. Through TripAdvisor I read about Tradicao do Vinho and host Andre. I sent him an email and he was so helpful. Made a delicious selection of wines and ports,... More

A lovely spot after a day at the castle. The food was delicious and the wine excellent. The owners are the epitome of Portugese generosity and hospitality. My advice on this charming treasure--go. I envy you the treat.

Just down the street from the entrance to the castle, a tiny cafe, with an incredibly well selected wine list, and the tastiest of local sausages, cheeses, breads, olives and spreads. The wine was exceptional and reasonably priced.

I really can't say enough about how very much I loved this place. The food was excellent and the service was delightful! We drank really delicious wine in a relaxed atmosphere, all in the shadow of the castle. My friends and I spent most of a day there as it was so hard to leave - we had no reason... More
