we had dinner on Sunday 14th Dec. Great Bacalhau a Minhota dish, and the rest of food was so good. They have good wine selection and what I really like is that many local people go there... It is not a Tourist place even if they have a menu in 3 languages What I really was not so excited about... More

Stopped for dinner and found the place to be clean and friendly. The tables were set with the usual, bread, butter and such. Since we were in Portugal I desired Garlic Shrimp and a local wine. The shrimp came with a generous portion of rice and had the garlic and oil taste I had hoped for. The service was very... More

As I just read the reviews (after going to the restaurant...), us too we were suggested to go there by the Hotel... Servers are 'nervous', they charge us for cheese&butter, bread... Asked for a veal roast and got on the plate and the bill 'escalopes panados' which is breaded thin slice of hard veal! Said to our server that veal... More

I had the pork tenderloin with potatoes that were swimming in olive oil and butter--swimming in a good way! Tables are elbow to elbow, you can see into parts of the kitchen and watch the cooks, and there's an area where you can watch the waiters prep some of the dishes--all things which add to the atmosphere. The servers are... More

Well, I made a mistake by ordering grilled cod from the English menu. If I had checked out the Portuguese one I would have known it was bacalau and known what to expect (and not ordered it). Yes, it was salty and hard, but then it is what it is, and i don't like it. That said, our party of... More

Four of us sent to this restaurant by America diamonds hotel ( common theme running through a number of the reviews) if this is authentic Portuguese then give me 'fake' Portuguese cuisine please!! Whilst accepting the Portuguese ( with due respect) are not the world leaders in cuisine we have eaten in some great restaurants in portugal this was not... More

It was a recommendation from the hotel and the place was very busy but the food was just so so. We had the fried Cod and it's not what you think, it had sauce all over it and it was salty. Our friends had the Spanish Omelette (it was ok), and the grill pork and beef (it was dry). Be... More

This was recommended by a hotel where we asked actually directions for a restaurant we wanted to go to and sent us here instead. We just asked for what they had best. They suggested grilled cod. It took ages till it came, and once on the table, it was way too salty, it was impossible to swallow. We complained then... More

Was recommended this restaurant by the hotel. Food was not that amazing. We had the vegetable soup, and seafood soup for starters it was ok. Then we had steak Portuguese style. It was basically a very thin piece of meat swimming in butter with garlic and served with homemade crisps which got cold straight away and became very hard, no... More
