Food, wine & love ;)

After a long day with my wife we have picked this restaurant in Belem. Usually we choose based on Tripadvisor and we rarely make mistakes. This time it was a very good decision. We visited Enoteca De Belem after reading about it in the Lonely Planet pocket guide. We only went for drinks but the very friendly bar man really knew his stuff when it came to Portuguese wines and made the time and effort to ask us what we liked and gave us informed recommendations. We were able to try each wine... More

Found it when hungry and browsing TripAdvisor. Very happy to find it. Portions were small compared to most places I have eaten in Lisbon so far, but looks and taste were wonderful. Modern cuisine meets Portuguese food. Very satisfied

Food is okay but place is a rip off - ordered and paid for a bottle of wine - but we only ever got one glass each as the bottle was whisked away never to be seen again until it reappeared on the bill. Same with water - and so called complimentary items (e.g. amuse-bouche) also magically appeared on the... More

Out with the project manager and team after a busy day. Food delicious, wines excellent and service outstanding. Nelson Guerreiro really knows his wines! Book early....

We popped in here for lunch and it made our day. The waiter took us on a tour of Portugal wines. We shared a really delicious pork appetizer and then ate a beautiful piece of fish (which was a new kind of fish to me that I can't remember the name of---the other one on the menu was cod). We... Friends resident in Lisbon took us to this small but excellent restaurant in an alley near the old part of town. Our group of six had excellent food and wine and at a reasonable (not cheap) price. They really know their wines.

I ate here with two friends, on arrival one of my friends was a bit jet lagged so decided to leave the decisions to our waiter, Nelson - who was simply amazing! He served us not only incredible cuisine, but with a charm indicative of the locals and a welcome one could only hope for anywhere in the world. The... More

For our last night I wanted someplace nice. We happened upon Enoteca at lunch time, but didn't have reservations. Looking at the ambiance and menu, I knew this would be the place for our dinner. I read about a wine pairing, but it's not on the menu, so I asked. Nelson said no problem, took the menus and made all... More

Tiny restaurant, well worth finding, but do make a reservation. We headed there for lunch and had a truly memorable meal, best in Lisbon. Gazpacho was perfectly chilled, fois gras amazing, and the duck pie was to die for. Wine selection is truly Portuguese (and they have truly great ports for afters with desert!). I wish we had had more... More
