Praise there is aplenty for Come Prima, one of Lisbons best-loved traditional Italian restaurants. Being a bit tucked away on Rua Olival, an easy walk from the romantic Tapada das Necessidades gardens, is part of the restaurants considerable charm. A reassuringly cosy atmosphere, lovely lighting, wooden tables and chairs and friendly staff - Come Prima hits all the right notes. Expect wonderfully simple Italian classics - tomato soup to tiramisu - freshly prepared with skill and care. Some diners have said the pasta and pizza are the best theyve ever had. Whats certain is Come Prima hand-make their pasta fresh, and bake their pizzas to perfection in a wood-fired oven. Nice wine list, too. Ask for a table upstairs where its cosiest.

Very enjoyable meal and memorable service

We were staying at the Sheraton so our taxi driver from that part of town was unsure how to get there! He had to ask another driver on the way for directions. So lesson learned, bring the address and the phone number with you! This restaurant is on a quiet side street amid the cobblestone streets... read more

This was a good food option away from the centre and traditional Portuguese food. We arrived without a reservation and were a bit worried that we wouldn't get in but they accommodated us. They offered us bruschetta and bread with oil to start the meal and we opted for the bruschetta only. Note that whatever they put on the table... More

My wife is vegetarian so we needed a place that offers fine food for all tastes. Come Prima did not disappoint . I had the salmon lasagne and my wife had a specially prepared extra spicy penne arriabiatta. I accepted their choice of a sparkling rose wine which we both enjoyed. No room for desserts! Highly recommended.

My friends, my wife and I happened on Come Prima on a side street near our hotel. What a wonderful surprise. We were looking for a casual restaurant and this fit the bill perfectly. The outside of the building is neat in a pretty yellow. Inside is casual elegance. The dishes were made with San Marzano tomatoes which adds to... More

Pasta was awesome!Got a chance to be here with my Italian friend. For the first time I ate Italian food with so much of care. Just loved to be here. Though the restaurant seemed to be very cosy its interior is really managed so well.
