Description: Praise there is aplenty for Come Prima, one of Lisbons best-loved traditional Italian restaurants. Being a bit tucked away on Rua Olival, an easy walk from the romantic Tapada das Necessidades gardens, is part of the restaurants considerable charm. A reassuringly cosy atmosphere, lovely lighting, wooden tables and chairs and friendly staff - Come Prima hits all the right notes. Expect wonderfully simple Italian classics - tomato soup to tiramisu - freshly prepared with skill and care. Some diners have said the pasta and pizza are the best theyve ever had. Whats certain is Come Prima hand-make their pasta fresh, and bake their pizzas to perfection in a wood-fired oven. Nice wine list, too. Ask for a table upstairs where its cosiest.

This is really a very nice restaurant. The carpaccio of salmon as a starter really melted in your mouth. We took the Irish ribeye with a balsamico sauce. I have seldom eaten wuch a tender and succulent piece of beaf. From beginning to end it was a delight. The service was great. The waiters are friendly and make you reallyfeel... More

When I lived in Lisbon in the Necessidades, I saw this tiny Italian restaurant with only 10 or even few tables open. It was runed by the most friendly person, Tanka. Tanka came alone with a stop in Italy all the way from Nepal, the food was delicious. A few years later the restaurant moved to the present location, we... More

Went there for dinner in April 2013. The place was a bit hard to find but well worth the trouble. The service was excellent and the food was great. We had drinks of white port wine which we never would have thought to order but the recommendation from our waiter turned out be be a nice, refreshing drink. The pasta... More

Reservation made by phone to 9:30 pm but arrived at 9:05 at the restaurant door because I know how hard it is to get a place for the car on a Friday night in the heart of Lisbon down-town, there I got the good surprise the "Valet service" sign. The valet didn't have anything that proved he was really a... More

Off the beaten track. Cosy atmosphere. Good service and excellent food. Good alternative when you get tired of the local cuisine. Or if you have a picky eater like us.
