We were given the English menu when we arrived but I asked for the Portuguese one too. I'm practising (not doing well but trying). I was surprised to see that there were far more dishes for the locals! I ordered the squid on a skewer with prawns and bacon. Magnificent. ( so was the bread and the chili oil as... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant as a place where the locals go for seafood. I had the skewered calamari, prawns and bacon. Cooked to perfection with sides of potato and beans in its own metal pan. Mrs had monkfish rice with prawns declared to be excellent. Good location and well priced. May be a little slow with service but Saturday... More

Went here twice, and I rarely repeat a restaurant. There is inside and outside seating and a great selection of food choices. The most exceptional one was the cod - outstanding! The prices were also reasonable if not cheaper than other restaurants. Several comments about the service, just relax and go with it. Remember there is no expectation of tipping... More

Came here for dinner on a Monday night and found that the restaurant had quite a few customers. I took a while to be seated and another while to be looked after. The outdoor seating and the view of the plaza were nice. The food was decent with a good garlicky flavour. The portions were hearty and the the seafood... More

We had been here a couple of years ago and liked it so on a recent trip to Lisbon we went back and they remembered us. The food is simple but excellent ingredients and well cooked. The gambas a corda (fresh prawns simply boiled and served covered in rock salt) were fantastic and the pasta with seafood was spot on.... More

We loved this restaurant, It's 100 % Portuguese, staff is impeccable and food!!! we had clams with coriander and garlic, the combination was so so perfect, small shrimp from the coast with salt and pica pau (beef with garlic and laurel) with the best french fries you can imagine. Next day we started again with the clams and then had... More

Predominantly a fish restaurant used by locals. Absolute have to on every visit. Perfect downtown location, simply designed with the small outside garden, always busy. Highly recommended yummy oven dish, baked jewfish head with potatoes and veggies. Slightly pricier place for Lisbon, but worth it!

Fresh and tasty seafood; menu does not offer too much choice though that does facilitate the decision-making. A little too noisy, but very fast service. In general, I wild probably recommend this place unless you have a very small budget
